Please, no Simmons, no Westbrook, no Irving.True. Simmons would need to be moved somewhere. I'm pretty sure the Jazz aren't going to take him.
I think plenty of people are not understanding how bad we are going to be without Gobert. We are already a bottom 10 team WITH Mitchell. Getting Ayton would help somewhat, but we aren't a top 8 team in the division. Not even close.
Not if they tank… Minnesota, Magic and Kings get hurt when they shortcut the process or fall too in love with late lotto mediocrity. I’d say the average tank lasts 3 years. Then they have one additional year late lotto as they are trying a bit harder to win. There are also instances when rebuild last longer because teams miss so hard (kings)… the magic have had poor luck as the drafts they move up in didn’t have great prospects and the Fournier, Vuc, Gordon group was just good enough to get them into contention for the 8 seed.It could last a decade. No way to really know. Not sure how long it took minnesota or the kings to make the playoffs (probably others im missing too) but a team can definitely suck for a long long time.
I’ll take Westbrook for the draft assets and cut him… I don’t want any of these dudes actually on the team for reals. Please, no Simmons, no Westbrook, no Irving.
Lolainge like blowing **** up, and on the 4th he is an arsonist.
Some people here seem to be under the impression that our choice is either trade Donovan and start a re-build or keep him long term and build around him. That's just not realistic. He doesn't want to be here so we're going to have to trade him eventually anyway. If we wait until he only has one year left on his contract, we will have no leverage at all in trade negotiations...the more years left on his contract the more leverage we have.
I just don't see the point in wasting our assets on win now pieces to build around Donovan and then having to turn around and trade him next year anyway. It makes absolutely no sense.

But let’s talk about the fringe scenario Donovan stays: the Jazz will be paying >$60 million a year for him if he re-ups.Some people here seem to be under the impression that our choice is either trade Donovan and start a re-build or keep him long term and build around him.
