Jazz and Knicks discussing Donovan Mitchell trade per Shams Charania and Tony Jones

After watching more of the Summer League, I was wrong to discount Grimes. This dude looks to be a keeper and only going to get better.

Has to be in any deal and the SL probably upped his asking price, but seems like a legit fit for us.
Easier to ask for picks if they ain’t sending him, too.

Wouldn't it be a big kick in the pants if the Nets and Knicks decide just to trade with each other instead of the Jazz? Like, if they're going to give us 6 picks, obi, grimes, quickley,,,, why not just get Durant instead of Donovan? lol
Brooklyn isn't going to a darn thing to help the Knicks, ever.

One of the first things he did when he was unbanned was to promise he wasn’t going to troll, then two seconds later you sabotaged him. It was pretty clear to me just texting with him he wouldn’t be the problem.

The first thing he literally did after being unbanned was make a thread to try and troll HH and I.

The called me idiots! Disgrace.

you yelled idiot to me before.
He's 15, he's banned. We all have had things we had problems with. I say leave him alone. I think it is interesting that he still wants to share things but beyond that I would give him some sympathy and let it go and move on.

More IceColdCubano chatter from earlier today. (Again, grain of salt...)

Miami is in pursuit of Kevin Durant and is seeking ancillary trades to increase their pick capital to offer Brooklyn. KD's agent allegedly told the Heat that Miami should try to move for KD before the Jazz move Mitchell. The fear is that if Ainge gets another massive haul for Mitchell, Brooklyn's asking price for KD is going to continue to go up, and KD may be stuck there this upcoming season. Hence, Miami is hoping that the Mitchell process will slow down. (Miami is hoping that the Knicks don't give into Ainge's demands for this reason.)

those NY picks might turn out to be nothing, if NY gets mitchell they also will get another star to come join mitchell, mitchell ain't toxic kd nor off the wall kyrie. People actually like playing with him.

It's far from a certainty that they will get another star to pair with him. They have been one of the most poorly run franchises in the league for a number of years now and have had an incredibly difficult time getting stars to come there. They used all their cap space to sign Brunson, who is a nice player but definitely not a star, and they are about blow almost all of their assets to get Mitchell. Pairing him with another star is going to be easier said than done.

The question isn’t whether or not they can actually add another star to go with Mitchell. . . The question is whether they believe they can add another star.

Not really...the post I was responding to said that the Knicks would add another star to play with Mitchell, therefore making the Knicks a good team and the picks we receive from them less valuable. I disagree that that will happen
