Jazz and Knicks discussing Donovan Mitchell trade per Shams Charania and Tony Jones

Alright here is what happens… maybe. Knicks are high on their own supply and digging in… a real threat needs to be sent to get them to bring the good stuff to the table. Miami is the most credible threat… so here is what we should do.

Start negotiating with Miami… Send out rumors that we really value Herro more than just accumulating infinity picks. Knicks will think we are bluffing… until Miami and OKC all of a sudden work out a deal to amend the pick protections on the 2025 pick. This is followed by Windhorst doing a 15 minute soliloquy about “very interesting … why would they do that?” Knicks are now panicked because the day of their failure is now at hand… something real happened… holy **** they do love Herro… straight ****ing panic.

How do we do it? Not exactly sure but Presti and Ainge have worked together… Danny calls in a solid and promises a future favor… we will be the cap dumping grounds going forward and may have some things we can help with. Get Presti to go to Riley and say… hey man I’m going on vacation. I know you are trying to do stuff and will want the protections in this pick removed. Why don’t we go ahead and do it now… you can bet on yourself and I’ll do it for free since you aren’t over a barrel… if I know that you need this to happen and you interrupt my vacation I’ll make it hurt to remove the protections.

Look I’m not sure it can happen but I’d place the call to Presti.

The Knicks have a chance to get a superstar who is from New York and wants to play there. He’s 25 and under contract for 3 + 1 years. He fits the timeline of your roster and we aren’t asking for Barrett.

If the Knicks don’t make it happen because they wanted to hold onto an extra first or a player it will be the most Knicks thing ever. What do they think their path forward is? They will be in the play-in game this year if they’re lucky then what? Deal away your lottery pick for more picks that you won’t use?

Right now it sounds like it's not even down to keeping an extra first but on what kind of protections that pick has.

Do people think he is a taller KD? Seems to move like KD does. I still get an unfinished vibe from the guy that reminds me more of Exum than KD.
He's a number two option - sorry, but it is true. He is not shaking Marcus Smart or Patrick Beverly or Lou Dort with those moves.

No, he can shoot, so not like Exum. When he wouldn't work out for teams it raised major alarm bells, but the Jazz didn't hear them evidently.

If Exum could shoot well and stay healthy he would have been good. Unfortunately he can't shoot or stay healthy. He also runs like an injured gazelle.

Exactly why I get an Exum vibe from the guy.

A prospect all his own is what I’d say. But if we’re using comps he’s in-between Gobert and KD in terms of talent: not as naturally skilled at the game as KD nor as good as Gobert on D. One hell of a tweener.

Good explanation. Not sure he is the guy you build the entire future of your franchise around.

Vic is like the upgrade version of Chet. You watch how Chet does this year to give you an idea of how it translates. lolz at anyone comping him to Exum in any way shape or fashion.
