Lakers-Jazz Trade

Sorry but i know the situatuon well. Mike ask to leave Memphis ( he didn't want to make only noise,, his word...), and if he had decide to stay, he will still be there. But yes, after JA turn to be that good, i'm pretty sure Memphis are now happy with the deal.
Source?

All the media reports at the time (multiple sources including Marc Stein and Brian Windhorst) stated Mike did not want to get traded to the Jazz and wanted to stay in Memphis.

I’m starting to think this Lakers deal isn’t going to happen.

Let’s trade Bogey for Duncan Robinson and an unprotected 1st from 2028 or 2029.

What if it’s not a down payment and it’s old fashioned lay away? We get the trade done just before Xmas? Monthly trades to get the whole team in time to unwrap presents?

I know all the holes in this argument, but do we need more picks in seven years? We don't have a ton to build with right now, and I'm not counting people on their second contracts.

I'd rather have Jovic and '23.

In any event, the fact that there's been all this time to negotiate and it's still not in the bag is rather concerning. Makes me think there was a three-team in the works with the Knicks and when that blew up it threw a real hitch into the Lakers sitch.

I don't know but if we don't get the Lakers trade then that Pat Bev deal is nauseating. But I think THT is ****ing garbage and salary burden that the Jazz gifted them for... uhh... the pleasure of developing a dude that doesn't have an NBA game?

You’re telling me you’d rather have Jovic and their 2023 1st opposed to their 2028 or 2029 1st?

The Pat Bev deal is nauseating regardless. Not to mention added an extra player to our roster.

This is just the league spreading the last bits of content out… wait a few days since there won’t be anything until training camps open,

I’ve made the argument elsewhere, but I’ll reiterate it here: it’s a reverse mortgage. Final payment isn’t made until the last Jazz player leaves the Vivent Center.

Even though it seems unfathomable that LA would want to waste another year of Lebron's career, I think it is looking very possible they will bring Westbrook back. It sounds like Ham, Lebron, and even Beverly are cool with Westbrook. Maybe not everything is smoke and mirrors.
I do still hope we get those picks though.
