Did someone say he will have the ball enough to average 20? A dude said that sexton isnt shooting well and not scoring well. He is doing both well. His minutes and usage are down so his total numbers are down. Thats it.

Main difference is that he is getting those points in the most impressive way of his career with the jazz. He is shooting a career high from the field and a career high from 3 this season. Also getting to the line more with the jazz than his career average and making a higher percentage from the line than his career average.

Basically Sexton is playing the best basketball of his career so far this season. His minutes are just down because the jazz have lots of point guards and small wings.

And the difference between -2 and +2 is something like 55/45 vs. 45/55 to win outright. I mean, it might mean 3 extra losses. As going into the lottery the 10th seed might mean getting Wemby. It's very improbable. It's much more likely that those Lauri/JC rest games lead to no extra losses rather than 3. (So, overall I'd said that's not something that needs that much discussing as the effect is very small anyway.)

And let's say that they trade KO and Vando and don't bring any playable bigs back. I think playing Dok 20 minutes has more effect on tanking than Lauri playing 0

Playing Lauri zero minutes and Gay 30 ain't gonna change things for ya? I just think if you pull 2-3 depth pieces and then sit Lauri or JC a few extra nights it will swing a few games. If you would have gone 3-3 i could see you easily going 1-5. Two games matters. We play OKC 4 times between now and the end of the season. Going 2-2 vs. 1-3 could be the difference between 8-9 or 10-11 right there. It is so damn tight literally every game will matter.

You should be embarrassed because you are acting like a dumbass. Anyone with a brain can see why Sexton isn't putting up the same stats here as he did in Cleveland when he and Garland were pretty much the only options. On this team there are way more mouths to feed so to expect him to have the same opportunity to put up the same numbers makes no sense. Take Clarkson away and plug in Sexton at the 2 and you can pretty much guarantee that he is putting up over 20 points a game.

imo its because he is not healthy yet, but clearly you think he is fine with low usage high efficiency role on this roster?
I don't think he ever would be ok with the low usage he has right now if he was 100%.

He is not 100% I am shocked how many of you think he is.
If Hardy is not going to give him the keys to the offense , and you are right about him deserving it, then one of them has to go

He is being used like a player with a hall of fame veteran point guard on the roster who the coach loves.

My advise is don't use % when judgeing a player that already is proven as an efficient scorer as a first option, before you judge how many attempts he has the green light to take in the first place as a 3rd option with less defenders on him.
He is not the same player or he would at least be a starter and the clear 2nd option to the Finnisher. He isn't

Mike conley is the reason his minutes are down my dude. Nothing more and nothing less. Its that simple. No need to guess at his health.

I mean if he had health issues this would be the perfect season to simply rest her completely rather than make him a 6th man type right? What makes you think he isnt healthy other than lack of minutes?

How do you deterimine good shooting vs bad shooting? What makes you think he is struggling with his shot?

He cant take those gigs from other guards. Hardy decides who plays not sexton.

Kessler should have taken olynyks spot long ago if its just based off play. Its not though unfortunately.
