What if Portland throws in #3.... and an extra pick or two. They have a pick they owe to Chicago but there is noise about them moving the NY pick or changing that protections on that.

Read an article on the Athletic on trades for the 4th pick and was shocked at how big I thought the overpay was for worse players than Lauri. Its just a team writer but just wonder how wild offers could get if no one decides to sell.

Not wrong, and this is why the NBA is a terrible league in terms of promoting the sport/competition. The incentive to win for the majority of teams is so poor compared to the incentive to lose.
