There was a play when Burks was pressing his man hard past the 3 point line, then a pick came and Burks got buried hard. He was completely out of the play and his man had a wide open lane to the basket. The player got all the way to the rim where he was met by Favors who sent his shot in the opposite direction with ease, right into one of our player's hands. If this happend during the Okur/Boozer era, it would be 2 (possibly 3 due to an AND 1) points. That is the importance of having good shot blockers.

Streaky, not mentally tough, unable to do much other than chuck, and still retarded. If anything, his recent end of quarter/half/game fouls have proven that he's actually become dumber.

For all you know, Gordon would have had an off night, or other people who contributed to this game would have contributed much less. Jefferson might have gone off. Maybe Hayward buries multiple 3's. If Gordon had been there, it would have been an entirely different game

Yes actually. 2 of those teams won't be close to making the playoffs and the third, who was missing it's best player, is a fringe playoff team. Plus they were all home games. Our record is very misleading.

They think blocked shots are the end-all-be-all proof that the rim is being defended. They are over-rating that category. Just look at last night's game: Jazz block a ton of shots, but Gooden does whatever the hell he wants to. Gooden. Jefferson's defense remains as big a problem as ever.

We almost lost to an extremely cold-shooting, sub-par bucks team with out their best player. Not trying to be a debbie downer here but with the inevitable injuries, road trips, and just playing better teams, .333 ball is more likely.
