What's new

Six games in and...

There was a play when Burks was pressing his man hard past the 3 point line, then a pick came and Burks got buried hard. He was completely out of the play and his man had a wide open lane to the basket. The player got all the way to the rim where he was met by Favors who sent his shot in the opposite direction with ease, right into one of our player's hands. If this happend during the Okur/Boozer era, it would be 2 (possibly 3 due to an AND 1) points. That is the importance of having good shot blockers.

Maybe Sloan left just in time. There is no way Kanter and Burks would have gotten this much burn under his watch.

Funny how all of the all-time great coaches are accused of not playing rookies enough.

Pops
Phil
Riley
...

Maybe they know what they are doing and you, the fan, don't.

No take on CJ?

Ok...

Guess I'll do it.

CJ's still the same player he was last year... The year before that... And the year before that...

Streaky, not mentally tough, unable to do much other than chuck, and still retarded. If anything, his recent end of quarter/half/game fouls have proven that he's actually become dumber.

I want to see less of CJ and Raja and more Howard, Hayward, and Burks.

Even Jeremy Evans. Miles just looks like overall crap.

That might be about right. Maybe 6th or 7th worst.

30. Washington
29. New Jersey
28. Charlotte
27. Detroit
26. Cleveland
25. Sacramento
24. Utah
23. Golden State!

my take

So, we are doing pretty good then considering we have beat 3 teams you have ranked above us?

The play you are referencing was the brightest moment of the night.

Burks will come along....

You simply don't know this to be true. There's no way to know it's true. For all you know, Gordon would have had an off night, or other people who contributed to this game would have contributed much less. Jefferson might have gone off. Maybe Hayward buries multiple 3's. If Gordon had been there, it would have been an entirely different game

NO is not invincible with Gordon, and we live in a dynamic world, not a static one.

Sorry dont live in fantasy world. I think 80% chance we lose if Gordon had played so yes there was a chance we would have won with him. Did you notice how bad Bellinelli was.

Yes actually. 2 of those teams won't be close to making the playoffs and the third, who was missing it's best player, is a fringe playoff team. Plus they were all home games. Our record is very misleading.

They think blocked shots are the end-all-be-all proof that the rim is being defended. They are over-rating that category. Just look at last night's game: Jazz block a ton of shots, but Gooden does whatever the hell he wants to. Gooden. Jefferson's defense remains as big a problem as ever.

At least Gooden was having to shoot 10-15 footers to get his points instead of easy layups and dunks!

Yes, you DO live in a fantasy world if you think you can predict the odds of a loss with such a high level of certainty if Gordon had played.

My point is irrefutable. Had Gordon played, an entirely new sequence of events would have occurred and no one (who is not clairvoyant, but then clairvoyance doesn't exist) can predict with any degree of certainty how that sequence of events would have played out.

4 of Gooden's 12 made baskets came at a distance greater than the free-throw line. Most were right next to the basket. He had 7 offensive rebounds. What game did you watch?

I knew you were going to say that.

I indeed do have ESPN so I in fact know all. :)

Maybe Sloan left just in time. There is no way Kanter and Burks would have gotten this much burn under his watch. I think expecting .500 ball is being to optimistic. We almost lost to an extremely cold-shooting, sub-par bucks team with out their best player. Not trying to be a debbie downer here but with the inevitable injuries, road trips, and just playing better teams, .333 ball is more likely.
You might not be trying but you're succeeding.
