If you replace Kessler with Flip, there'd be enough defensive length to help compensate for Flip's lack of defensive presence, since Hendricks and Ace are secondary rim protectors. Then you'd add Flip's playmaking and shooting on offense. The lane would be open for Ace to go to work.
I'm also betting that Flip will improve a little bit on defense.

I didn't find Locke's glazing that convincing. It's not like Cody is the first ever prospect to ever have a long wing span. There's so much emphasis on his brother and his theoretical beefy self, but not much about his actual basketball skill.

Yeah I agree here. I think he's reaching (a tad) and just trying to find content to talk about to some extent.

I think that's fine I don't disagree with everything he said, but the "Jalen is big so he will also be big" is doing so much heaving lifting whereas "he needs to be able to shoot and dribble" can't just be an afterthought.

One point I did agree with Locke on is that his motor needs to be higher and that's kind of inexcusable regardless of his current frame. What I didn't agree with is that he answered those questions about doing things besides scoring, specifically his rebounds. It's great that he had 8 rebounds in a single SL game, but as a whole his rebounding volume was not that great over SL. To his credit, his steals were pretty good, but steals is one of the least sticky numbers and does not have much carryover from SL to the NBA.
