What's new

Griffin PIGS get slaughtered in LA tonight

Look, I dont like the way the team works either but who else would be the go-to guy in the 4th quarter if Al Jefferson wasnt there? FAvors? Millsap? Jefferson is a solid 20-10. Watson and Tinsley are such garbage. This team needs a Kyrie, or CP3. We need better passers. Did you see Watson have 2 turnovers because of horrendous passing within 30 seconds. Unbelievable... I mean 3 of the starters got completely shut out.... That just tells you that there isnt enough ball rotation and people arent finding the open man. Mo Williams isnt the answer either, we need a superstar PG.

Mo, Paul, Hayward, Burks, Foye. There are five. Also, if you want to find that go-to guy in the fourth, play some of your kids that COULD be that go-to guy.

I don't get why the 'starters' had no energy in the 3rd quarter. It was a pathetic effort.

Well, you see the Clippers' coach noticed that Millsap carried the Jazz in the 1st and Jefferson was scoring in the 2nd. So he righty figured that Millsap and Jeffy were the only players the Clips needed to worry about to start the 3rd and he adjusted his defense accordingly.

LOL. Serious? LOL. That is just priceless. Everything the Jazz have accomplished last year and this is in SPITE of Al. Just look at how we get outscored in the first and third quarters of EVERY game.

whos being spiteful now. me ? the jazz ?

or is it the guy trying to scapegoat al for several other players bringing 0 to the table

Why would you start Carroll when you have Burks and Hayward on the bench?

Carroll gives you everything you need from that position in the starting lineup. Marvin needs to post up and have plays run for him to be effective. That doesn't happen in the starting lineup. I was hoping for a trade and Marvin would play backup PF but obviously.

Burks, Mo (when he gets back)
Foye/Burks
Carroll, Hayward
Favors, Millsap
Jefferson, Kanter

How is it that every single person, except the one who's opinion matters, can see this? (Or at least some variation of this)

The problem isn't Millsap. It's Al. You can't start Al and Hayward. You are wasting one of them. Also, you can't play Al and Favors together defensively. It is a horrible combination. Al is too useless and Favors is too young. They both need to camp out under the hoop. Here is your starting five:

Mo
Hayward
Carroll
Millsap
Favors

That lineup wins a lot more games.

Your bench would be more balanced as well:

Burks
Foye
Williams
Jefferson
Kanter

Great players make their teammates better, and contribute even when their shot isn't falling. Millsap does a lot more of both of those than Al (and also happens to score more efficiently and almost as much as Al in the clutch).

finnaly a game that will show these guys that jefferson improvement is nothing we have seen ebfore.
on the road he sucks and dissapears just like in the playoff.

but ooh noos jefferson was the reason jazz won last few games.

well now his defense will be a key factor in this loss.

so start eating crow again

Dude, can you even try being positive?

Yea, Cy you aren't looking good right now.

You know, as much as we rag on Al Jefferson... this team is starting Tinsley Foye and Marvin. That makes it ridiculously easy for the opposition to just stack against our bigs.

This.

Any team with Marvin Williams, Jamal Tinsley and Randy Foye in its starting line-up is going to struggle. Name any team in the league with a starting trio that gives up more points, more rebounds, and is generally as weak.

Just looking at Al's +/- alone tonight, he was +10 when he wasn't playing with Tinsley and Marvin. He was +7 when he wasn't playing with Foye.

To put it more clearly, Foye + Marvin + Tinsley combined for 0 (zero) points on 0 for 9 shooting. The trio also combined for a grand total of 4 rebounds.

Think about that, your starting PG, SG and SF score zero points in more than an entire quarter of the game, during which you get outscored by 25 points.

Yea, that's better. I really don't care, just get Marvin, Tinsley, Watson, and ten (at least) of Al's minutes out of there.

carrolls greatest attribute is the energy he brings to the court whenever he steps on. on most teams this would make it a no brainer to put him on the bench and bring him on as a spark. on the jazz it is exactly why he needs to start.

As long as Al and Foye are in the starting line up then Hayward should never start. Those two are team killers.

This.

Any team with al jefferson in its starting line-up and being the vocal point is going to struggle. Name any team in the league with a starting center that gives up more points, more rebounds, and is generally as weak.

Just looking at Al's +/- for the season

To put it more clearly, your starting center has a grand total of 4 rebounds.

Think about that, your starting C takes 19 shots in 3qtrs score 16 points in more than an entire quarter of the game, during which you get outscored by 15 points.
FIXED like a Mutha******

I disagree. I think everything the Jazz have accomplished is in spite of Marvin Williams, Randy Foye, Jamal Tinsley and Earl Watson.

Then you will be happy when the Jazz bring Al back this summer and due to his contract, have to let two of Millsap, Favors and Kanter go, and bring in more players of the Williams/Foye/Tinsley/Watson ilk. You will always have your built in excuse.

FIXED like a Mutha******

I like you because you're Dutch. But in all fairness, you're a narrow-minded a**. The Jazz's most productive line-ups this year and last had Al Jefferson in them, along with Favors. The Jazz's worst line-ups consistently have Foye, Marvin Wiliams and Jamal Tinsley in them.

green even if your right, which you are not.

you endorse knowing that we've squeezed favors minutes, that finally when hes got minutes were gonna displace him to starting center, when he has expressed he wants to play 4. During his contract year, at 22 y/o.

thats how theyre gonna do the biggest deal-breaking piece we swapped for deron? NO-WAY. wake up alice!!!
