Karl Malone's take on all of this......?

......"hate" is a strong word! I certainly "hate" the lifestyle of a lot of humans, but don't hate them as a person. Don't you "hate" wicked people who do "wicked" things? You would like for them to change there ways, I'm sure. Society in general, has established "laws" that protect there citizens from harm. These laws vary from country to country and state to state. I, along with many others, feel that there are higher laws even than those set by humans. We feel these laws are beneficial to all humans whether they obey them or not. We choose to obey them. When governments and society in general decide to "make up" there "own" set of laws and consider the others "archaic" or outdated, well that's when the problems arise. When laws for sexual morality are up to the individual whims of humans then what we presently see on this globe is the sad state of affairs we must endure. In addition to STD's that run rampant amongst heterosexuals who have multiple partners, the same problem even worse exists amongst homosexuals. And then there's the undeniable FACT that if everyone bought into the homosexual/lesbian lifestyle on this planet, then the human race would eventually die off.

1. I don't trust that you have any secret knowledge from a higher source of law. So I'll stick to society creating laws that actually protect everyone and advance their rights and interests.

2. STDs, like most social problems, tend to be less common in socially progressive locales.

3. Humanity wouldn't die off even if everyone turned gay overnight. What kind of simple-minded proposition is that? Gay people are just as capable of having children as anyone else.

Don't let the door hit you.

Weren't paying close attention to the conversation were you? The only thing I was talking about was a relationship between homosexuality and promiscuity. And if you don't like what was already referenced, take a look at HIV percentages among homosexuals.
I said nothing against you or your position yet you still find a way to treat me like a ****ing douchebag. What's your deal?

A matter of logistics. HIV is more easily spread through anal sex which homosexual men have quite a bit more of. There is no reliable statistical evidence to support the claim that gay men have more sexual partners than straight men and women.

However, it is possible as promiscuity is mostly a cultural behavior. I don't really see the relevance. If you don't like promiscuity just speak out against it. But you (not you, Julie) just don't like gays, and promiscuity happened to be the justification you're using because it's more acceptable than admitting your dislike for homosexuals regardless of any statistics.

I have nothing against gays, I was only participating in a tangent debate comparing homosexuality and promiscuity. I don't know why you all here think that me saying gays have on average more sexual partners than straight men means that I am anti-gay. And I feel the same way about Carolina thinking I was backing her up. I wasn't doing either.

.....man meets man. Man has sex with man. Man cannot be impregnated by another man. No children result. Woman meets another woman. Woman has sex with woman. Woman cannot be impregnated by another woman. No children result. Life span of humans is 74 years. No reproduction, human life ends shortly thereafter. What am I missing here?

Artificial insemination, ding dong.

Lol, way to completely miss his point and go off on a very-loosely (and I'm being generous here) side-tangent.

Not sure how y'all can deny some sort of currently-existing relationship between homosexuality and promiscuity. I think the better question is: will it go down as homosexual orientation becomes more mainstream? Personally, I think it will. No one is arguing that the two factors are causal.

What about HIV rates among women (genuinely curious-- this could either support or destroy your opinion)? Do women have anal sex as well?

And I suppose all of those gay people who do have children accomplished this incredible feat through wizardry.

For the record, lol @ some of you (well, CarolinaJazz) telling a gay poster straight-up that he chose his orientation. Made me giggle.

The vast majority of HIV+ women are straight. And women only make up around 23% of all cases. Gay women make up less than 5% of HIV infections among women, and about 1% of all HIV cases.

In other words, those who really care about HIV among gays should be encouraging female homosexuality as much as possible.

Wonder if the human race will ever progress enough that there wont have to be announcements for discriminated groups whether it be one's sexual orientation, race, skin color, religion or creed.

I would like to think I practice indifference, I'm not apathetic or indifferent to the people's plight of being discriminated against. But I'm saying that the indifference I feel is because I don't think anybody should feel the need to "tolerate" or "accept" anything from whatever discriminated group because acceptance or tolerance still seems like your saying there is something wrong with <insert group here>. Where as indifference is just people are people no matter who or what they are, the end.......

Still not coming across the way I meant to, the words are clear in my head but can't get it to translate to my fingers.

How do you think progress is achieved? Through indifference? There is nothing wrong with discussions like these.

Artificial insemination, ding dong.

.....oh, so now we are going to repopulate the earth through "artificial insemination?" That would be fraught with problems. Would it only be the "rich" people who could afford such a thing? How long would it take for something to go wrong and such a method would end up producing perhaps "sterile" children who couldn't reproduce? What about BIRTH DEFECTS? According to one study, children conceived through in vitro fertilization have an increased risk of birth defects, such as heart or kidney problems, cleft palate, and undescended reproductive organs.

So we're supposed to continue responding to your "what if everyone turned gay" fantasy until we cover every possible angle? Have you been commissioned by the 700 Club to write a TV show? If so, I'm sure many would happily oblige. Otherwise, let's keep this relevant to our reality.
