Define "if you...could". Pretty sure (virtually) everyone on this board can live anywhere they want.

Not true.

And I'm sure most people on this board would rather live somewhere other than where they currently reside. Things like work, family, money, etc make it hard to go wherever they want. If I'm wrong and we have a board full of content people, then I'll eat some bacon.

Suggestion for Ann.. stay with this line of thought.. life has too much opportunity for adventure to not seize it when able.
At your age and place in life, I do not recommend the keys.. I would recommend NYC, Orlando (gag, I lived there, it's not for me, but I can still say it would be fun for someone else), the beaches between San Diego and LA. I assume you're more of a warm weather chick than a cold weather chick.. so I didn't mention Park City, Vail, or other ski areas.. but they're fun too. Adios!

Florida, huh? Think about all the hurricanes, PKM! I can't swim!

Thanks for the advice, though. I don't get it much, my parents don't have much input on my life other than..."get a real job and get married".

Love warm weather, but I also love the cold. I think I'm more of a winter person than summer. Just been doing a lot of brainstorming lately of places to move and Maine came up. How do we all feel about Maine? Never been, but it looks nice. I just want to live somewhere "chill". I'm a laid bad person, don't care much about the nightlife and just want to immerse myself in a culturally diverse place with excellent food and nice people. I've thought about New York, but that city might be a bit too much for me. Loved it during my visit, but don't know if I could live there. Making it a goal to live in another country once in my life. I guess I should try to at least get out of the country first.

Random answer: Can I live with you??!! ^__^

Will you pay my billz? ^_^

Don't love the Maine idea.. but who knows? Northern Virginia (just south of D.C.) ain't bad..
Northern New York.. great restaurants, tons of vineyards/wineries.. beautiful, chill, and close enough to visit NYC whenevs.

Wildcats roared again: 7-2 victory in 100+ degree heat.
I think the team was equal parts happy about the win and equal parts happy about getting out of the heat. I must be omniscient: we bought a pop-up shade tent and a couple of those hand-held misting fans. Having to sit through a child's game (or coach one) in extreme heat is one of the dark sides of youth sports.

And no one came close to hitting a ref in any of the games today!

love that heat. and the shade. and the mist.

My most nostalgic memories of my youth involve sitting under an evaporative cooler on the hottest days, and the thunderstorms that sometimes did just as well.

Oh yeah, did I mention the soccer game was on top of my daughter's outdoor volleyball game in the morning, which included getting there an hour early for pictures (already hot at 9:00-10:00 am), then duty as a "field monitor" before our soccer game? I was so nice...I (last week) told the mom who was going to be the field monitor that I'd cover it since she helps out with the registration nights. What is that phrase..."no good deed goes unpunished?" I'm completely baked...so wish I had a pool.

my wife dredged up that phrase a month or so ago. . . . "No good deed goes unpunished". . . . in relation to my taking a day of my life to do a huge favor for a very rich lady, who in return tried to cheat us on the deal. . . .

yup, when the lady says she's concerned about her new pet being on an airplane, don't offer to drive it to her instead. Just say, they do fine on the airline.

Yo babe! Are you out standing in your field or something?

I just stopped by to say that HOPE is a wonderful thing, but it doesn't originate with Obama. His kind of hope is just delayed disappointment.

I did a mountain hike, and several days of work "in the field". When I left my heart stats were 125/85/85. When I came back, after driving for hours it was 105/75/75. I think I lost ten pounds, too. Work is good.

LOL.. you drove her pet for her? Wow.. that's a new low in humanity...

politicians routinely devalue the terms they use in political rhetoric. Particularly the breed of plantation managers we have today.

Susan Rice said what she was told, and in all fairness, Obama is gonna promote her to his National Security Advisor post on his Cabinet. Yep, the lady who lied about the known planned Sept. 11, 2012 Al Qaida attack on the Bengazi post, and which resulted in four American deaths. While Obama sat on his thumbs and did nothing, and hatched the lie about the YouTube video being the incitement for a demonstration, to which protesters showed up on the spur of the moment with RPGs and other military equipment.

Obama has fired two temporary officials at the IRS in the fallout of the outrage about the IRS targeting of conservative-sounding organizations for harassment, both of which were not in place when the deeds were done, and has promoted the one who actually guided the politically-motivated harassment over to the IRS dept which is gonna make sure Obamacare is guided in a non-partisan manner. . . . . .

But hey, the major media is tired and bored with Obama's critics, and like watchdogs chewing on thick steaks thrown their way by the robbers, have nothing to bark about while the American people are raped and pillaged by the barbarian fascist robber barons. Rockefeller got a good deal for all the family holdings in Big Pharma by making sure we'll print more money to paid the bills.

I followed my plan
Your feedback's a slap
I'm trying to not take it
as you giving me crap

you're still making the same old point,

which is just fine in this old joint.

If you raise the postcount by just one,

you've helped as much as anyone.
