General NFL 2010 Regular Season Thread

Game of the season coming up next Monday night. My JETS going into Foxboro to decide first place in the division. Huge game.

Did I mention it's a big game?

Don't get too excited, it's all set up for the JEST to fail. Let's have a looksee at the schedule here:

@ Partiots
Miami
@ Steelers
@ Bears
Bills

I smell three losses, possibly four. And if you lose to my Fins you are really, really, REALLY ****ed in the ***. Now, let's take a look at the Fins schedule:

Browns
@ Jets
Bills
Lions
@ Patriots

I smell disaster for the JEST.

Chargers/Colts can mean one thing.

The Peyton Manning Face.

Prophetic :(

There's no doubt the Jets have a very tough schedule ahead of them. But what you're smelling is your own awful stench. Here's a hint: Take a shower and flush the toilet. The smell will go away.

R-A-M-S, Rams! Rams! Rams!

I'd say Bradford looked great out there, but he actually looked pretty average compared to the rest of the QB's that have torched the Broncos this year. *sad face*

Nah, I like Bradford a lot and have been rooting for him since my Dad went to OU. He looked really good, especially considering they couldn't run the ball for ****.

I was just happy the team had a big lead before the coaches tried not to lose. I have been very impressed by Steve Spagnuolo, but he has cost the team at least two road wins this year by tring to sit on a lead. It almost happened again yesterday.

It was definitely very Anae like of him. The Rams had been passing on us at will and all of a sudden they decide they are more likely to win the game by using less time per drive and by ceasing to score more points. That's a bout the only thing I like about McDaniels right now. He ain't scared of nothin'!

It will be interesting. The Steelers can falter also. There could be a scenario where I would root for the JEST over the Steelers if I feel it benefits us. And actually, the Jets beating the Patriots would help Miami with tiebreakers more because it would give NE their second division loss. The Jets currently have none, but I just see the Jets faltering more than the Patriots. I'm going to have to think about this, maybe I want the Pats to lose on Monday night.

How many times has Belicheat lost to the same team twice in one season?

I'm really loving The Jets run this year only because I absolutely can not wait to see how they blow it.

Ute83, the Bucs lost two O-lineman for the year. Ouch. Though they probably weren't making the playoffs anyway.

I actually attended the game in Baltimore, had a really good time even tho we lost, Raven fans are cool and its a great venue. Actually, it was Cody Grimm (safety) and Joseph (guard), which is awful...two of our better players on each unit and Grimm has been a great story (7th round pick, Russ's son). Anyway, thought it was a pretty game effort but the Ravens are on another level. I'd like to make the playoffs but it's gonna be rough sledding, although if we beat Atlanta we'll get in, and we nearly did the first time so i refuse to write it off as a loss. Overall though, been a great yr and they are putting together a very promising young team, and thats more important to me...playoffs would be a bonus but I like our prospects for 2011 and beyond.

Bigbitch I have a question. Are you born a Jets fan or is it a choice?

Ever since I knew what being a fan meant, I've been a Jets fan. I've never been to New York, so I don't really know how I ended up being a Jets fan. Why do you ask?

I hate to say it, but it's too little, too late for Miami. They are in a position where they basically need 2 outta 3 really good teams to falter (Jets, Pats, Steelers) and all the while Miami will have to run the table with games @NYJ and @NE still remaining.

It's too bad because I cannot believe how the Jests and Steelers have been pulling out some of their games lately. I differ from Sloanfield, I actually think the Pats are more likely to falter than the Jets. I think the Pat D is borderline terrible and they've been getting by with excellent coaching and offensive talent. However, history tells us that the Jets will ALWAYS find a way to ruin something good.

The Miami win @ Oakland was actually frustrating for me as a Dolphin fan because I have been SCREAMING for them to run the ball all season long. I think Ronnie Brown and Ricky equal the best backfield in the NFL, yet last week was the first time all season that both players saw 20+ carries. Miami is built to be your prototype 3-4 yards and a cloud of dust type of team but the offensive coaching staff will not embrace it. However, there is hope. That Defense is very young and starting to play amazing ball. Another year with Nolan on staff and the Phins D should be downright nasty in 2011. However, they still have to address the offense and fire Dan Henning. It's just not working.
