So you shouldn't be allowed to criticize or make judgement on your boss, your parents, your government?

Fans are not paying their meal ticket, btw. I love how fans feel so entitled because they're under the impression the hold some major stock in the players salaries. This team exists because of the NBA, the owners, the players, then the fans. You pay for entertainment, not to make team business decisions. But, if you disagree and think you do play a significant roles in player salaries, then they have every right to criticize you. It's called taking responsibility.

And for the record...

I'm on record saying I Trey can say what ever he wants about me, my behavior, or whatever as long as he puts 100% effort and loyalty to the team.

In your scenario we are paying that person to perform a job. In this scenario that job is to lose games. If you want to call that selfish fine. But we are the paying entity and can pay for what we want. Not what he wants.

Correct, but we are not paying him to lose. We are paying him to play hard and try to win games. Are you saying you are paying players to throw games? I think that would be worse than being selfish. You could say we are paying the FO to lose, that would be more ethical.

Not really. We didn't draft Burke to lose games. We might have NOT signed some players to lose games, but no one on the roster was brought in to lose. Even JL3, though he sucks terribly, was just brought in as a veteran who wouldn't complain when things got awful.

Never once said the fans are the boss. But the fans are the income. If the source of income demands an adaptation, most businesses tailor their product to fit that demand. I don't hear the grocery industry blaming customers for being selfish about waiting more produce choices. Nor do I hear retailers blaming selfish customers for wanting better shoe selection. Companies see the trend in the market and adapt, not the other way around and blame consumers for being selfish for not liking the company exactly how it is.

No, but you would hear the grocery industry blaming customers for being selfish about wanting bottles of flaming diarrhea sold in their stores. Retailers would definitely call customers selfish if they demanded shoes made of AIDS.

You're assuming that asking a player to lose on purpose is an acceptable request. It's not.
