Game Of Thrones

Bran? Seriously? Thats dumbest thing ever if you are being truthful.

Nah man, think about it. Who better to be king than the guy who knows all, sees all? Plus he is merciful, as evidenced by him not outing Jaime at Winterfell when he had the chance. Makes perfect sense to me.

On the whole, I liked this ending a lot. It wrapped everything up, and still left us with stuff to speculate about. Jon beyond the wall. Arya west of Westeros. Sansa as Queen in the North. Tyrion and crew as the privy council. After last week Dany had to go. Having Jon take her out made good theater.

I was ready to give up on the prequel series, this won me over a bit. I just might give it a chance.

I wanted to see something in regards to the night king being defeated and the children of the forest.

So like the children of the forest dancing like the Ewoks at the end of Return of the Jedi? Could have some fireworks too.
Yes!

Um. No.

I thought something like meeting with John snow, bestowing something on him, admitting they brought him back to life, etc. etc. Something. But we got nothing. The whole night king thing was less a plot driver and more a diversion, despite the fact that it was built up from the very first episode. Really a dud in that regard.

Edit: it would actually have been super cool to see them go north of the wall and find spring like weather. Implying that the night king was the cause of the huge long seasons and the ceaseless winter in the North. Maybe the CotF could have met with John there, shown they resurrected him, gave him a dragon glass, idk, scepter or sword or something. Anything would have been better than just nothing.

Maybe even fireworks and Teddy bears.

I think they all blew themselves up when they were protecting Brandon from the white walkers. They used their little grenades and such.

The show was running out of control like a runaway train. At least they brought things to a close. The small attempts at humor in this episode didn't really hit though. They were trying too hard.

I wanted to see more Hodor type stuff where Bran goes back in time or where he found out about Jons origins or warging or something. He did nothing and became king for no reason. Bran was one of my favorite characters entire series and this season has been a let down for him more than anyone else for me.

Well, did not think it was possible but GOT outdid Lost when it comes to the worst ending of terrific show. Just tons of WTFs in this episode. So disappointing and making zero sense.

Yeah all creativity like that fell off a cliff this last season. To be fair, the writers never had a chance to give a worthy ending without Martin's books to draw on. I think they knew this as well, and why they only wanted to do 6 episodes these past two seasons.

They had a few months to write a season of the show, Martin takes years, and in some cases it seems he might take decades to write this stuff.
