The official "let's impeach Trump" thread

That's not ridiculous. Trump absolutely believes in the laws of our nation and obeys our laws. It is definitely a part of why people believe he is racist. Try again.
First, can you make an actual argument indicating that Trump has especially strong views on this being a nation of laws? If you do I'll put in the work to show the mountain of evidence showing he has a particular lack of concern for us being a nation of laws. Otherwise I'll just dismiss your false claim out of hand.

Second, can you please connect the dots between Trump believing we're a nation of laws and that being the reason people think he's a racist? If you can I'll be happy to post the reasons I finally gave in and believe Trump is a racist. Until recently I was very careful to not make the assertion that he was in fact a racist, only that he was sympathetic to racists. He has definitely crossed the line for me and has demonstrated that he is a racist.

The idea that people are "anti-American" because they express a different view of this country and offer suggestions for improvement doesn't make sense. But if you insist on following that reasoning, then Trump must be anti-American because he ran on a platform of gloom and doom and fear and anger and how terrible this country is (listen to his Republican nomination acceptance speech). His MAGA motto must be anti-American because it says that America isn't great.

I don't remember Democrats telling him that he should go back to where he came from (Germany on his father's side, Scotland on his mother's) for spewing his anti-American views. His paternal grandparents and his mother were born in Europe, so his family had only been in the United States for one to two generations. Kind of like the Squad. He must hate our country.

He said go back to where you came from, fix the issues there and then come back and fix the problems here. He is not racist. I would definitely believe a member of his Cabinet and an African-American who works for him.

I introduce Ben Carson, for those of you that don't know who he is:

But they are American, so his statement was stupid at best and racist at worst. Spin it all you want, it was a ridiculous and horrid thing to say.

It was not a nice thing to say. Fortunately I can hear from Ben Carson to know Pres. Trump is not racist.

When I'm looking for an unbiased source on Trump the first person I think of is someone dependant on staying in Trump's good graces to keep his job.

In any case I don't need anyone to tell me whether what Trump has said was racist. From "**** hole countries" and "decent people" in Charlottesville to "go back where you came from" he's time and again shown exactly who he is.

And here’s the funny thing about Trump. Being a great President involves being diplomatic and sensitive. The world is far more complex than it was 100 years ago. One can’t just puff their chest out now and bellow some broad rhetoric that the world will get. There are too many players. Heck, it’s far more complex than just 30 years ago. And really one must be a great chess player so to speak. It’s a complex job and one needs to think ahead all the time and how decisions and words will affect each and everybody.

Trump is playing checkers though. And badly. And he and his constituents can’t even see it. That or they just don’t give a damn, so long as it means sticking to their guns. Because there’s something admirable about being loyal to one’s beliefs. Even when they’re completely idiotic and immoral. Evidently.

I wish I could rep you for this. This is beautiful.

So dumb. Ben Carson was one of the country's greatest neurosurgeons, and has worked his *** off from extreme poverty to be who he is. He has no need to lie to keep his job. He did not even need the job in the first place. He is one of the most honest and sincere men I have ever heard.

The old "decent people" bull crap. That is a debunked lie and it is sad that you are not aware of it. I have personally been in **** hole countries before. I personally would not call them that, but Trump is pretty blunt. Does not mean he is racist.

I hope the many conservatives and moderates chiming in here about why Trump sucks puts the coffin in the inane idea that people only hate Trump because they're liberals looking to gripe.

How about we impeach the new disgusting, american hating, socialist/communist members of congress. They are dangerous to our way of life and our country.

It's not a "debunked lie" you realize there's video of him saying there were "nice people on both sides" right? Here's the complete quote

Trump: "Excuse me, excuse me. They didn’t put themselves -- and you had some very bad people in that group, but you also had people that were very fine people, on both sides. You had people in that group. Excuse me, excuse me. I saw the same pictures as you did. You had people in that group that were there to protest the taking down of, to them, a very, very important statue and the renaming of a park from Robert E. Lee to another name."

As for the **** hole countries thing, he was specifically talking about countries make up primarily of black people and in the same meeting suggested we needed more immigrants from countries "like Norway." It doesn't take a genius to put two and two together.

Let's start. Who do you think these "progressive" Democrat women are?

Besides progressive and Democrat and being women, what do these women have in common?

Why do you think he said they hated America?

Why do you think he said "go back to your country" specifically? Not town, state, or metropolitan area... Country?

Let's dissect his past. Has he ever been called a racist before? Any descrimination suits or allegations?

Family history or culture of racism?

Let's talk Ben Carson. If trump was a racist, Why would he say otherwise? If you had a job that's making you millions indirectly through policy, would you call your boss a racist? A man who gave you a job you were dramatically unqualified for?

Something untouched here is the case for him being misogynistic. Other than the four all being of color, they're all women calling out what they see as ********. How many times has he been accused of misconduct? Didn't he beat about assault?

I understand there's going to be imperfect alliances. But at what point do you cut ties with someone?

Debunked lie. https://www.realclearpolitics.com/a...neo-nazis_fine_people_heres_proof_139815.html

“Excuse me, they didn’t put themselves down as neo-Nazis, and you had some very bad people in that group. But you also had people that were very fine people on both sides. You had people in that group – excuse me, excuse me, I saw the same pictures you did. You had people in that group that were there to protest the taking down of, to them, a very, very important statue and the renaming of a park from Robert E. Lee to another name.”

After another question at that press conference, Trump became even more explicit:

“I’m not talking about the neo-Nazis and white nationalists because they should be condemned totally.”

I don't think Trump thinks he's racist, but it's hard to argue he's not ignorantly racist.

Who tweets go back to your country in 2019 and thinks it won't be called racist? An ignorant racist does.

He said to fix the issues from where you are from and then, and this is the real fun part, come back and show us how.

Also, he never once used anyone's name or race in the tweet.

Yeah, just the other "very fine people" chanting "they will not replace us." There was absolutely no reason to "both sides" what happened in Charlottesville.
