What's new

Dante scores 28 pts on 11-13(4-4 3pt) in 24 min

Since the trade Exum has 101 points in 19 games.

Clarkson has 368 points in 23 games.

But Exum did have that one 28 point game, so yay.

not taking into consideration how many shots both players have attempted, why are jazz fans so dumb?

It's a cruel world. Snyder lets Donovan and Clarkson throw up shots, but not Dante. Likewise Beilein let Clarkson throw up shots, but not Dante. Dante needs to go somewhere where he can throw up shots and he'll be more efficient than both those guys.

The whole Exum saga turned out sad for everybody involved. Can we just embrace Clarkson and wish Exum the best and move on?

Agreed. It isn't like Exum didn't try. I think he wanted to succeed but was either legit injured or legit didn't perform the way he wanted to.

There were times when you could see his unique abilities and it was intriguing thinking of those abilities coupled with a serviceable NBA player. It just never came together.

That pick was a "swing for the fences" pick. If he had been everything we could have dreamed he might be, well, we'd be championship favorites right now everything else being equal.

I want to make it clear I never hated Dante but some of his homers are just absolutely clueless.
So Clarkson's lowest scoring games would be highlight games for exum. Wow

I really wish ex the best. I feel bad for the kid. No one wants their dreams to come crashing down. I mean my pity is tempered by the fact that he can console himself with, you know, 10's of millions of dollars. Not a bad way for your dreams to come crashing down. I mean, many of my dreams were crushed, but my payout was debt and regret, not becoming a multimillionaire for, in essence, exercising and playing with my basketball.

Hmmm, I still wish him the best. But **** the pity.

I think the biggest beef is with the persistent belief that this is still his ceiling and people arguing vehemently for it. If not believing that's his ceiling, some vague, non-specific statements such as "special," while refusing to quantify what, exactly, that's supposed to mean. The idea that we don't have enough data on him, or that the stars need to align for him to get a fair shake, continues to live on [not speaking to you directly].

That first step doh!

Zach lowe on his podcast the other day said utah should have traded exum way earlier, but the way it worked out, im beyond happy.

When I look at the terms of the trade, then it’s hard for me not to conclude that the Cavs had interest in kicking the tires on Exum. I’m glad he retained that interest somewhere. The outcome of all this has made it easier for me to let the air out of the Exum conversations. Just like how the acquisition of Bogey put the Haywood **** into the rear view and around a corner. Essentially gone.

Since life is short and full of more interesting things, I invite the rest of you to join this perspective.
