Trade deadline discussion

Orlando killed that trade... solid firsts... good flier on Carter... expiring contract... and they got the Bulls to eat Aminu's deal. Finally the Magic rebuild.
Just don't think Magic did well in this deal...... really don't. Bulls firsts won't hold much value as long as they keep the core of Lavine and Vuce which they will. Carter is a lottery bust who's on the DedEx land of fragility and will miss over 30games a year due to injuries. And he is still owed 7mil in 2022 thanks to the bulls exercising his team option. He isn't that much better than Aminu in that regard. I mean just compare what we gave for Conley to Bulls deal for Vuce. It's an obvious steal by Chicago

Yep, Boston now steals Fournier out of Orlando with two second round picks that are more or less gonna be in the 50s range. Magic is in panic mode now. They will take anything.

Why are y'all surprised? I already told you guys it was going down.

Gotta see the details on the supposed Fournier trade, but the idea he was had for two 2nds is jaw-dropping.

I can’t help but immediately recall the 2nd round pick dumping this offseason.

We don't have the cap space to take on Fournier's contract but yes...... Second rounders are much more valuable on trade deadline cuz teams will be desperate.

Its a good cash savings for the Magic since he goes into the exception celtics have... also give the Magic a trade exception but might be useless since they will be a cap space team this offseason now.

Never forget...

Gordon gave Ainge a TPE. He did not give us one.

The only time DWill was motivated on D was at end of games, one such moment that has always stuck with me was an end of game moment vs Portland, the jazz up 1 on the final Possession. Brandon Roy tried posting up DWill, D would have none of it and stopped him. The jazz would win the game, and I was left wondering why he couldn’t defend like that all game long every game.
Because he was expending all his energy on offense and DW played defense more than you are crediting him.

Magic are doing a total fire sale. Can't say I disagree with doing so as they'll have a top five pick and a lot of future assets to work with.

Gordon is next - just a matter of time.

I think the Magic have done well.

Vucevic is good, but an aging big man. Not only do they get two firsts for him, they get rid of Aminu's $9 million or so for next season. They are shedding tons of cap this year and next.

I like Isaac. He'll be a really good player. Need to build a young team around him.
