If you all haven’t seen how hyped Vernon is over Ace and the Jazz it’s worth watching. KOC too, who said the Jazz are on an OKC/Boston trajectory.Listening to the Chris Vernon Mismatch podcast and he has the story about this interaction with a fan he named "Target Guy" who told him the Grizzlies should draft Coward.
He then reunited with Target Guy in Vegas for his YouTube show (the Chris Vernon show). Target Guy says Cowards floor is Michael Jordan then reveals his draft board and the #1 player on his board was Walter Clayton and he said WCJ is better than Brunson now
Seems like intel was there were other teams ahead of Jazz that were going to take ClaytonView attachment 19431
Sorry fellas, i don't see it, he's been mostly embarrassed by his defenders. i wouldn't have minded taking him with the second pick, but moving up was definitely a stretch.
That's interesting how different people can come up with very different impressions after watching the same games. To me Keyonte looked much more PG-ish in his two preseason games. I think he reaslly progressed in this department and now is capable to make quite a variety of passes and reads. WCJ showed that he can score but I am still waiting to see his actual ability to run the team. Of course, it was just two games but expected a bit more from a 22-year old PG with 4 years of college experience.
Also, Key looks to be more explosive and taller. I am actually starting to believe that he may become a serviceable PG in a couple of years.

i aint paying to move up the line at mcdonalds when i can go to five guys instead. i don't see it. he's undersized and plays like it. he'll have a hard time getting that great shot off when he can't shoot over his defender and doesn't look like a natural playmaker. i'm saying it here: trey burke 2.0Seems like intel was there were other teams ahead of Jazz that were going to take Clayton
Jazz had to move up to get him

Agree to disagree. Seen it many times in the 2 pre season games this year and many times in the past 2 years.Keyonte doesn't often beat people off the dribble and get into the paint. He doesn't put pressure on the rim or collapse the defense.
I have been a naysayer and I'm doing the opposite.looks like all the WCJ naysayers are doubling down
Steph Curry right here. Ya'll talking **** gotta get some readers.

This is not a slight, I am super high on WCJ but he isnt being used off the ball running around screens in ANY of those highlights. He didnt cut multiple directions with or without the ball. The floater was the only play that had me thinking steph. He did have 2 hesi's that lead to open layups but that doesnt make him steph.
I am not saying he'll be great, but I don't get why everyone these days dismisses "undersized" guards. Here is a list of current NBA guards Walter's size or smaller: Steph Curry, Chris Paul, Mike Conley, Kyrie Irving, Jalen Brunson, Damian Lillard, Kyle Lowry, Drue Holiday... not to mention a bunch of retired hall of famers...i aint paying to move up the line at mcdonalds when i can go to five guys instead. i don't see it. he's undersized and plays like it. he'll have a hard time getting that great shot off when he can't shoot over his defender and doesn't look like a natural playmaker. i'm saying it here: trey burke 2.0
