It’s been pretty widely reported that Putin and Clinton have a history.

    A. He blames her for the disastrous 2011-2012 campaign where his party took a hit in popularity. Putin won the presidency but lower percentage than ever before.

    B. She’s far more hawkish than Trump and would work to strengthen our partnerships with Europe, not weaken them.

    C. Being a Democrat, her presidency would focus more on human rights than Trump’s. So things like the Magnitsky Act, sanctions, gay rights, etc would’ve been strengthened not weakened.

    D. Trump has had business interests in Russia/Soviet Union since the 80s. Just by Knowing this, it opens the door to potential opportunities.

    E. If you’re America’s enemy, wouldn’t you want Trump to win? You don’t have to be a fan of Clinton to know that if you want America to look, around, and act dumb, you want Trump in charge, not Clinton.

This article sums up why Putin hates Clinton:

    https://www.abc.net.au/news/2018-05-22/vladimir-putin-and-hillary-clinton-hatred-explained/9783076

Anyone interested in a good summer read where the former ambassador and Stanford Professor discusses Russia and why Putin hates him (and Clinton), read Michael McFaul’s book, “From Cold War to Hot Peace.”

What’s weird to me is how Trumpers ignore that our enemy, Russia, wanted their boy to win.

As much as I like Warren, if I heard that Kim Jong Un wanted her to win, it’d give me pause. If I heard that he helped her to win and she welcomed his help, I’d be calling for her impeachment (no matter how many judges she nominated).

So it’s just unimaginable to me that people who grew up with me have no problem with siding with Putin. I might share the same language and skin color as these people, but that’s where it ends. Our politics, value system, and definition of patriotism couldn’t be more different.

Agree to disagree. Your conspiracy theory hinges on Russia playing for short term gain. China and Russia play the long game.

Oh you have a theory that you can't do things for the term and the long term. It's only one or the other. Strange theory.

I make decisions based on the short term and long term all the time.

Long term I have money for my daughter for college.
Short term I saved up some money to buy her a water and sand table to play with. I'm amazing at multi tasking I guess. But a foreign government is unable to lol

Thing is tho, there's no reason to entertain your conspiracy theory. It's not really fair to call it a conspiracy theory because there is no meat on that bone. Bad conspiracy theories like Clinton being an agent of The Kremlin have the Uranium One deal. Something to work with. You claim he gave them something but there isn't even a smidgen of evidence to build wild ideas from. If Trump gave them something we'd know about it by now.

Russian meddling and their long game has a history.

People claiming that trump hasn’t given Putin anything clearly aren’t watching the news.

Some of you could really benefit from getting outside your Fox News am radio bubble and actually learn about the world.

Lifting sanctions, alienating our allies, and shredding the INF treaty are all yuge favors for Putin. Killing the INF treaty alone will take decades to fix. Hell, it took decades to make and a lot of luck in the 1980s to finalize. We’re selling ourselves and our European allies out to serve Putin. Wake the **** up guys.

I guess they also choose to ignore Trump's performance in Helsinki, where he kissed Putin's arse on the world stage. America First!

I see a lot of anti-Trump sentiment on here. Who is going to run against him in 2020 and who actually has a legit chance of beating him? What are their views and policies like? I’m interested in hearing these responses. My vote is still up in the air.

I think his most likely candidates are Elizabeth Warren, Kamala Harris and Julian Castro. Biden and Sanders will fade as the primary drags on.

I think Kamala Harris would be the best chance but I still believe if it came down to it, she would lose.

I think Warren and Harris have the best chances of beating him. It all depends on if they can get conservative voters that won't vote for trump to pull the lever for them.

Warren seems really far out there to me while Harris seems like she could keep her cool. My dark horse would be Buttigieg or however you spell his name. He's just not as known yet.

My two cents is that it will likely come down to Sanders, Warren, and Harris.

Warren would be my pick of the three, but each of them would have a good chance of beating the racist ***** grabber.

I know Harris had a good debate from what I read but she backtracked on something she said later on? Not a good look.

I’m not so sure. It depends on how far left they go. There are a lot of voters up for grabs. You can see that right here on this board myself, @colton, @Gameface and @fishonjazz all come to mind. We won’t vote for trump. But I know for me I don’t want to go hard left.

It’ll be interesting to see what messages and tones are used. So far it seems to be the leaders are mostly pushing further left.
