As the locomotive around these here parts for everything Democratic, I think it’s important you address the recent allegations against Biden. I say that respectfully. I agree with the far majority of your takes and loathe Trump with the best of em. But I don’t think to be who we should be, we can simply turn a blind eye to these allegations and Biden’s own last words regarding how such allegations should be handled.

I saw something being tweeted by a few of my Bernie friends on twitter. Investigate it
 
It is a poor answer. You, both you specifically and the general you, can’t self-righteously post about Trump and the infinite amount of loathsome **** he’s done (honestly it’s too many to even count at this point) but then turn a blind eye to this or simply say, “Investigate it.” I mean, you personally can of course. But I’d like to think you are better than that because I think you are better than that and can provide a better response.
 
So, the two main candidates will be an unrepentant serial rapist and abuser, and a one-time rapist and serial harasser who supposedly repents (except for the thing he denies)?

Basically, many of those who have wondered, “I just don’t understand how anyone could vote for someone who ____,” are going to get their question answered in November.

Unless, of course, this criticism is buoyed by Russian misinformation. In that case then we must keep our eye on the prize and not be thwarted by Putin.

I think you're going to see that Biden is held accountable. That excuses will not be made and this very well could end his candidacy.

Al Franken was not let off the hook because he was a Democrat. He was held to a very high standard and facing pressure from his own party he left office.

I’m not sure about that. This news has been out for a week now and though it will be reported eventually, you’ve already seen how people can view this through a different light. Brett Kavanaugh will be the grease to keep him going. She tried to go public in January of 2019, I believe, but the organization Time’s Up refuses to help her because she was accusing someone who could be a presidential candidate.

Basically, a good gauge on how the DNC addresses this will be by seeing whatever Thriller responds with, if anything. If he calls for him being ousted then I’ll be surprised, yet impressed by his consistency. But I’m not anticipating that. Both Thriller and the DNC will say/do nothing until another plan is in place.

how so? I’ve seen this story on twitter. And tweeted by my Bernie friends. Personally, I’ve been a bit distracted by the global pandemic thing... and Tiger King. :) I’ll take a look at what the Post and NPR have to say about it later.

But investigate this accusation. Were you expecting me to shrug it off or brag about it like I was part of the cult 45?

If this person’s story is credible, then I think he should do the right thing and drop out of the race.

Why am I being asked about this story? Isn’t this a question that most of us will face? I mean, Don’t most of you want Trump out of office? Would you still support the Democrats’ best chance of ousting Trump if this accusation is true? Remember, Biden is up by 9 pts on trump by a Fox News polls). Or is a 30+ year old accusation worth giving Trump 4 more years? Not sure why I’m the one being singled out here.

This isn’t a great scenario. Biden was never my first or second choice. Which is why singling me out seems odd. What do never Trumpers like @colton think? Or Bernie guys like @Zombie?

Wish Cory Booker, Warren, Klobuchar, or Harris had been the candidate honestly.

Wait, so you will equate the DNC response to how the Trump administration and his followers handled Kavanaugh if they wait long enough to put another person forward to take his place, even if that means they do call for an end to his candidacy?

I would NOT support the best chance of ousting Trump if that option is a sexual assaulter.

I would not support either candidate in that situation.
