I’m saying that when push comes to shove, it’s about beating Trump, and they can now use “well look at Kavanaugh” as an arrow in their quiver.

excellent. Which is fine if we are all asked this question. I find it weird that I’m being singled out here. As if my opinion about Biden matters more than any of you who’ve spent the last 3 years hating Trump. Why?

if the story is credible, then he should drop out. Sexual assaulters should be held accountable, not raised to the White House where they can appoint two Supreme Court justices, pass devastating tax cut legislation, gut healthcare, threaten NATO, and kill Americans who don’t kiss his *** during a pandemic.

Right?

Not with any credibility they can't. That has been the disgusting and morally corrupt take the Trump followers have put forth. It isn't a valid argument. It doesn't even make sense unless what were saying is that it doesn't matter. That nothing matters except that our guy wins.

I know you think the Democrats are just the same as the Republicans. I don't think that's true (although I'd make the clear distinction between Republicans in general and Republican Trump supporters specifically). I think that if this accusation is credible then Biden is out.

They should not be raised to the White House because we should hold our President to a high standard. One that being a sexual assaulter disqualifies you from. Has absolutely nothing to do with they type of legislation gets passed.

Your last sentence contains the conditions upon which all of this is predicated. The task here isn’t to justify nominating someone who’s sexually assaulted someone, it’s to now discredit the individual. Fortunately for them, Russian disinformation provides a palatable backdrop, as does “but Trump.”
 
But to repeat, many who wonder “how could anyone support someone accused of____,” will have that question answered in November. The answer will come in a myriad of ways, but it will come.

I haven't heard specifics about the allegation. I don't think this turns into an effort to talk about what kind of skirt the accuser was wearing. Again, I think you're going to see this handled in a significantly different way than the Kavanaugh situation was.

If I'm wrong I'll admit it and I'll condemn Biden and the DNC for it emphatically.

We will see. People have already pushed back on the credibility. If you want the accuser’s own words, I linked them above. It’s about 7-8 minutes.

But when it comes down to Biden or Trump, it will make it a lot easier for many to favor alternative explanations. “But Trump” will be a big part of that.

I guess we’ll see.

Well most people are going to vote for one or the other. So if the one they pick is Biden then yeah, they may be saying "but Trump." But I'm suggesting it doesn't come to that and that Biden might drop out.

I personally don't think he's up to a general Presidential election campaign regardless. But if this dogs him on top of the normal pressure then I think he will drop out.

I think you were being single out because you have seemed happy that Biden was overtaking Bernie for the Democratic nomination. I don't think zombie, myself, or others have ever shown any tiny bit of support for Biden. That night be why.
Also I think many people on this sight see you as the most partisan Democrat. That's probably another reason why.

I was simply pointing out that there is still hope for the Democrats to show some integrity.

That ship sailed long ago for the Republican party.

I'm hoping at least one party shows morals and integrity. We know it won't be the Republicans though.
