2020 Presidential election

Sure, PJF is off his rocker, but nothing sticking to Biden? Yeah, sexual assault accusations is not a big deal.

Imagine if Trump "whitesplained" to a black person that they aren't black if they don't vote for him like Biden did. Biden is the lesser of two evils, but that doesn't make him good. Does anyone truly like him? Sure, he secures the nomination for the Dems, but is it worth it? Dems protected Clinton and now Biden. Rhinos do the same for Trump and Kavanaugh. With the outrage Dems had regarding Kavanaugh (and rightly so), their silence regarding the accusations against Biden show it was all political.

No matter what barrel you put your ladle in, the water is dirty.
There were serious red flags about that Biden accusation right from the start. Things quickly got much fishier from there.

I don’t like the equations with the Kavanaugh situation.

There have been multiple reports by women that Biden has touched them in uncomfortable ways. Seems that Reade even said that Biden's actions were made worse by others telling her it was ok, but she was uncomfortable. Where has it been discredited?

With Kavanaugh, not a single person has been able to corroborate to any degree that the assault against Christine Blasey Ford happened. Even Ford’s old friend Leland Keyser, who Ford claimed was at the party where the assault allegedly happened, couldn’t confirm it. In fact, Keyser recently announced that she doesn’t believe Ford’s story. Even so, I believe her. And I believe Reade too based on Biden's other actions.

Many allegations against Kavanaugh were BS. As was the allegation against Biden.

innocent until proven guilty.

Non partisan opinion., just the facts.

There hasn't been silence at all. What there has been is several articles showing significant inconsistencies in the accusers story and significant motivation on her part to harm the Biden campaign.

Look at all that silence.

It feels like the goalposts were just shifted. Have those uncomfortable touches just been equated with assaults?

I don’t want to be someone who is defending Biden. Neither do I want to be someone who’s creating false equivalences with Kavanaugh.

In a court of law we have different goal posts. With the person a party pushes forward to lead our country, or uphold laws, we should be better.

Unwanted touching from a person with power over you is despicable.

And to be clear, it wasn't just a hug, it included kisses and groping. Not sure why the report she made at the time won't be released...

I agree. I think most here that will vote for Biden acknowledge publicly that they will be holding their nose when they do so for various reasons. However, the expediency of the situation compels us all to do the right thing and vote for the much lesser evil.

And yet the media largely vilified Kavanaugh without looking for inconsistencies, which also existed and didn't get reported well. The liberal media bias is an entirely other issue (I think it actually hurts the media and the Democratic party to be honest).

I think the Atlantic article (also a left publication) I posted above weighs the issues quite neutrally.

I think Biden's statement holds true. It seems the media took it to heart with Kavanaugh, but not with Reade.

Having dealt with women who have gone through this, and the lifelong stigma that reporting it brings (who wants to be the person always known as the accuser that couldn't prove anything).

Until we see the released report Reade made, how can one not give her the benefit of the doubt?

And for the record, Kavanaugh disgusts me. In both cases, with so much time passing, it is easy to have inconsistencies in a story.
