Frankly, I think Trump would beat either Bernie or Bloomberg in the general election by a wide margin.
I wouldn’t be so sure about him beating Bernie. Bernie’s momentum would just get stronger by the day until election day.Frankly, I think Trump would beat either Bernie or Bloomberg in the general election by a wide margin.
Who do you think he wouldn't beat though?Frankly, I think Trump would beat either Bernie or Bloomberg in the general election by a wide margin.
Yeahh, you're an established moron when it comes to politics. There is practically no difference between the two. Bloomberg might be worse.Not me. I'll happily vote for Bloomberg if he gets the nomination. I'd vote for a bag of **** if the other choice was Trump.
There's polls for that buddy. Bernie beats Trump.Frankly, I think Trump would beat either Bernie or Bloomberg in the general election by a wide margin.
This is high comedy.I don't think he has ALL the same flaws. I think he would be a much more competent administrator of the executive branch. I think he would make much more rational decisions as the commander-in-chief. I think he will communicate somewhat more intelligently, even though he says stupid **** at times. I think he will build better relationships with our allies rather than tearing them down.
I could honestly keep going, but this isn't a "well they both suck the same" situation. None of the potential Democratic candidates, nor any of the other Republicans challenging Trump, are as bad as Trump. If the choice was Trump or Pence I'd vote for Pence. If the choice was Trump or Barr I'd vote for Barr.
Trump is incompetent and that puts every last one of us at risk. We feel safe because we're the U.S.A. and nothing can hurt us, but that's an illusion. Trump's incompetence puts all of us at risk. And we can't allow him 4 more years to institutionalize his bad practices.
Sanders is just too ideological. I want the ideologues in think tanks and serving advisory roles. I don't want our President to be a ****ing "Democratic Socialist" I just don't.
I think he would have one of the most ineffective terms of any President and would lose the office to a Republican in 2024. He'd just be too inflexible. He'd get nothing passed because he wouldn't compromise.
If you want the best of what Sanders can do, support Warren. She can compromise and work to get the best possible outcome rather than fighting and dying for the perfect possible outcome.
Red scaring, Thriller? Really? If that’s the worst they’ve got, then I’m far from worried. Support from disenchanted Republicans and moderates is great if your goal is to continue the failed neoliberal tradition of the last thirty years. I don’t think it is up to challenges this country faces wrt wealth inequality and climate change. I mean right now these types and the Dem establishment are rallying around Mike Bloomberg ffs. Kind of goes to show how shallow their dislike of Trump really is, and frankly is making me hesitant to even call myself a democrat.agreed. And this article only highlights how Sanders is going to doom us to another 4 years of Trump.
@Zombie have you read this?

Sanders is such a bad candidate. We now have two respected posters, @Gameface and @colton who have brought up concerns about him. Colton even said that he wouldn’t vote for sanders. Which is sad, moderates and desenfranchised Republicans should be our target demographic to retain the House and retake the senate and White House.
I wish my fellow Democrats could understand why Trump is licking him chops to face Sanders. Unfortunately, there’s no much I can do. We’re sadly going to see another 4 years of Trump. And with sanders at the top of the ticket, I wouldn't be surprised to see few gains in the senate (collins and Gardner are probably gone. But so is doug jones) and losses in the House.
bernie is a good person and a far better candidate than trump.
However, Im curious as to how anyone thinks a single bernie plan will be passed by a Mitch McConnell controlled senate? Even if Dems retake the senate, they won’t have close to the 2/3rds necessary to pass anything. If/When Trump loses, Republicans will return to being the fiscal hawks/obstructionists/Monday morning quarterbacks that they were for most of Obama’s presidency.
and the American public is so utterly brain dead that they’ll blame Democrats for the deadlocked government and they'll smother Democrats in the 2022 midterms. By Jan 2023, Democrats will probably have lost the Senate and House majorities and Bernie will be a lame duck president.
