Just that we would try hard to move Clarkson and Sexton and that Collins contract has more value now so it may or may not get moved. All are expiring but I think what he was saying was Collins was the most valuable of those guys and they may have some options?

I agree... we can smooth out the gap year and also give them the hope of FA if things don't quite work. Portland seems like they want to compete. The Phoenix deal with Beal might provide assets and maybe Giannis believes Beal has more left in the tank than he has showed. Wizards have Smart/Middleton (no reacquiring though) but also have Kispert on a medium deal that could benefit long term. Smart Kispert Bey gets them in the ballpark. Still allows for some cap space I believe.

We can also help with a Boston deal if they want to go that route. It makes too much sense to not happen which means it will never happen.

Yeah the other thing is how many teams are ok with Dame taking up so much cap the next two seasons. I don't think PHX or POR are wanting that. UTA and WAS are probably the only teams I'd be confident are ok with it.

I don't think will happen, but Collins could also be an extend+ trade candidate. Can't imagine he's going to want a >5% raise so he could extend and be traded immediately. Might have more value to a team like SAC if they want to lock him down for the future.

Yeah was thinking a three team deal with Phoenix... but your point stands... we'd likely be involved there too.

John could know the Jazz will do a sign and trade and could opt out and we give him like 4/80M. I don't think his salary goes up from 27M so yeah maybe we extend him and have it decline but I think most everyone would prefer the expiring contract unless its a big discount.

I had discussed just keeping John if we trade Lauri. Doing a renegotiate and extend after he opts out could be an option to get him like 25M this year and then have it drop to like 20M for a couple years maybe? I guess we could do 8% declining deal that might be about the same place. Like a 2-3 year extension at 23Mish AV.
 
Collins probably does have value on his expiring but I doubt any team is going to extend him on his current contract.

All I can find is that the investigation into gambling is still ongoing. The Heat let him play sporadically after it came public but he didn't play in the postseason for them.

Robinson is on an expiring/partial guarantee for next season and Rozier will also be an expiring. I realize Ainge drafted Rozier but personally wouldn't let him set foot in the building while he's under federal investigation.

Feels like it would have to have Jimmy... and if they are moving Jimmy I would think its a GS Phx deal that send KD to GS and Jimmy to Phoenix. Weird.
