I'm also having a hard time buying that a guy who averages 1 block and .9 steals in college is this great defensive player.

There are lots of guys who can stay in front of guards. You don't talk yourself into drafting them top 5.

If you don't think they should draft Gordon fine but don't google some basic stats and pretend that is the whole measure of a player. Again they don't put footwork in the box score.

i cant help but be underwhelmed with Gordon's vertical # at the combine.. 39" that just doesn't do it for me with that sort of reputation

at #5 i think its crazy talk, most likely id switch my fandom elsewhere if hes the pick

did you watch ibaka and how 1 man can drastically change a 7 game series?

we don't need gordon to be an offensive star. we need him to be a defensive star. we are in a rebuilding mode. we can address our offense through FA or next year's draft.

randle - we have favors & kanter
smart - don't like small backcourt, don't like small SG. we have trey at PG
exum - he is probably gone
vonleh - tremendous potential, but he is 3 year project. can he come in and start? no. he won't even avg 25 in his first year.

with gordon, we can give him 30 min and make him our do it all defender.


even better, we should trade all our veterans and just build a team around trey, gordon, favors, burks, and kanter.

Ibaka vs Gordon? Not a good comp. Gordon will just be a pest. He'll get in a players grill like Harpring could. He'll be a poor mans AK in the lanes, 1 or 2 steals a game. He won't be blocking or altering shots at all. Just too small.

Shoes get more Comfortable with you feet the more you wear them. So does the players. But some get better in less time. Question is, which pair will ease your feet off sooner. And the other question is, do you really need another pair when you already have one.

I think Gordon could easily develop a shot. It could come as quick as the summer ends (dats what she said lololol) and he's my number 1 over anyone else. He kind of reminds me of a Darius Miles/Shawn Marion hybrid. And don't hate.. D Miles scored 47 points against the Nuggets in 06 because of his athleticism. College ball really don't mean anything once you hit the pros. Like I said.. look at what MCW did.
