Jeff Green guards Lebron well and also dropped 43 on him, hes taller, longer and selected 5th overall... what separates Gordon from Jeff Green? other than 1.5 rebounds per game and 40 FT percentage points

Mostly his motor and his bbiq.

Also his athleticism (though green is athletic too, gordon is an elite athelete despite his combine vert)

Plus i think gordon will be bigger.

I think gordon is a better ball handler, passer and rebounder too.

Also a better defender.

Also is 18

Basically gordon is > green at everything except shooting

youd characterize Gordons defense as considerably better than Greens? Ive been watching Kawhi Leonard struggle vs Durant, Gordon is a good defender yes but i think the impact of his D is being vastly overrated.

Jeff Green led georgetown in assists as a Sophomore and Jr, and averaged 1 more assist than Gordon as a freshman

I guess maybe we will have to wait until gordon is over 18 to really know for sure. Jeff green was probably over 18 in his sophmore and junior years at georgetown and certainly was when he defended lebron well.

Jeff green was in fact a pretty good player with lots of upside when he was with the thunder..... then never really improved much.

Maybe he doesnt have the drive or the work ethic and motor needed tk be an all star level guy.

I'm not an unblinded Aaron Gordon homer, I know he's got a lot to work on. However, yes, he has better handles than Green in that video. Gordon has a pretty mean crossover. Goes either direction with either hand. One hand passes off the dribble.

That being said, I think most college players have to improve dribbling coming up to the NBA.

Everyone is overrating his D as well. He's a good defender and works hard, can defend multiple positions, but he's not an NBA great defender yet. Not a Bruce Bowen. He plays a bit far off people, relying on his jumping to really contest the shot. That's going to get exploited for a while in the NBA.

Yes.

Jeff Green is exactly what this team needs. With Jeff Green we will destroy the Thunder and Spurs next year and sweep the Heat. Just look at how Boston "gave up" all star Perkins for him. Just look at how many championships Green has brought Boston. Lebron is basically a poor man's Jeff Green.
