Kidd and DJ's size would cause big problems for the Tiny Nate and Cousy. Also, the forwards and centers on the team are deep and talented and would be able to wear LeBron out, as all the focus in the frontcourt would have to be on him. Irving would have to have a huge game for Addictionary to win.

I love HotttieKKK's starters, but hate his bench. Probably would win this whole thing easily, if he actually had a good bench.

Dunno about you but having Carmelo coming off the bench is pretty handy.. can give you 30 ppg as a starter on a given night, so coming off the bench as the 6th man that's pretty handy. Roy is no slouch and Aldridge is pretty savvy too.

Dennis Johnson with 3 championship ring will lead the 2nd unit team - now that's pretty solid IMO.

Unless you pick Duncan, Dirk, Kobe, Durant, LeBron, Carmelo etc. I think current players are a little too overrated when people pick. It's human nature, you watch these guys all the time and they are fresh in our mind, but Roy shouldn't have been picked bro, imo. Same with Aldridge, guarantee if he didn't have a great postseason this year, he wouldn't have been picked. Plus I know you only picked Horry because he is clutch, he has never averaged more than 12 PPG in his career. Do like DJ and 'Melo off the bench for you though & Dwight + Chandler isn't a bad back-up combo either.

I'm not trying to dog on you or anything, I do think you have one of the top 2-3 starters out of the 12 teams.

Gotta give the nod to kink

addictionary probably has more raw talent but I think kink has real team chemistry. I don't think Dr. J @ the 2 was a good decision and I don't think he complements LBJ well.

@3k
Your new name should be Ithinkkink.

I will "think" about it bro.. thanks.. LOL

This one is so close for me.

I too don't like Nick's bench, but I also have problem with his overly defensive players. I would start Melo, shift Pippen to the SG and bring Miller to keep the scoring alive while Melo resting. Otherwise I don't trust his first fives' scoring.

Honestly, I agree to a degree about Addictionary's outside shooting. But the thing he will suffer more is from the unknown(or lesser-known) old NBA goodies syndrome. Sabonis is underrated as always, and so are the most of the rest of his roster. Plus his defensive side of his team is also underrated.

All in all, I'm still 50-50 on this one but I might go with Nickkk, just for the sake of not backing a fellow countryman.

Thanks bro - fair call on starting Carmelo with Pippen and bringing Miller off the bench. I might actually do that in the next round depending on the match up.

Looking at each players' historical performance, on average at their peak, Pippen gives me 20pts, Miller gives me 22pts, Duncan gives me 22pts, Kidd gives me 16pts, so that's already 80pts. Carmelo off the bench can easily give me another 20pts - a Total of 100 pts for just 5 players not counting what other players are gonna add.

Given that these guys are defensive players, to me that's plenty.

Hey just because I don't have Reggie Miller, doesn't mean that my guys can't hit open threes. You don't become HoF'er by throwing bricks. If I needed a pure spot up, I would draft Stauskas.

Anyone who thinks Cousy and Dr. J couldn't hit the long ball just plain never watched basketball during those eras. They can shoot lights out, especially at mid-range. The thought of Cousy, J, LBJ and Kemp coming at you full steam would be devastating for an opposing team. That is a great combo especially for chemistry. Sabonis could hold his own, which is all he would need to do, and he added nearly Memo-like ability to hit a long-mid-range shot that would open up the middle. Just too much there to handle imo. When you have 3 guys starting who can explode for 40+ at any moment, and who also play defense on top of that at least at a mid-high level that is just too strong. Addictionary wins this one in a 7 game series, 4-2.

This & this.

Log gets me! Sweet Jesus! (Muhammed for that matter).

The excitement over perimeter shooting of fans is just too well to discriminate fans who have never played the game. They put %40 career shooters over %30 shooters just like that * with the snap of a finger.

How can anyone not see the competitiveness of my team build up on the greatest battlers through out the history? I'm sure if you've put your stats bias out and leave the friggin 3 aside for a moment, your imagination will help you out just fine to set up a matchup between those two teams and mine destroying Nick's team by dominance. Nick's team needs consistent offensive success and perimeter shooting because they cannot come over my guys in a seven game series. Could not endure. And if they can shoot the 3 ball like that which won't happen, they can win against anyone. But basketball just isn't like that. Practice 3's are not the way to feel how it feels to try to nail a contested 3 point shot which is contested by the trademark King-Kong's of the association's history. You know who I would like to have in this team? Shaq and Wilt. They add to this team more than any other's.
