Another Boozer trade Rumor(I actually like it)

Trade Boozer and Memo and get this deal done. Memo's contract his age and his declining abilities are going down hill. Giving him and Boozer up to Orlando will be huge or both our team and theirs.
This would allow us to keep AK's expiring contract and sign him to a reasonable sum next year or trade him at the end of the year. plus Give us a second huge expiring in Vince Carter for this year and will still keep us in contention. Gortat is an affordable young Ostertag type player with a little more offensive ability.
Mix and match contracts, trade exemptions and Draft picks. But I believe this will net us something for Boozer, rid us of Memo's contract, keep us in contention and set us up greatly for the future with two monster contracts coming off the books at the end of the year or that can be used as massive trade bate. And all of this can be done without going over the tax.
 
Only chance this would happen is if AK is traded or carter bought out. If we did get Carter, our offense would be very dynamic and our D would improve w/ Gortat and Milly in the line up. Then if Ak was traded we still would have a great bench
PG, Matthews, hayward, Bass and Fes along with a MLE big, a veteran and maybe a Tyrese Rice, Boom Tho or Paul Harris

Not going to happen. Carter will not be on this team. Jazz would rather have AK than Carter. And no way the Magic trade for Okur. he is stuck with us like it or not. We are moronic for supporting him as our center over the past 4 years just because he shot the 3 ball well. While his help defense was horrible and guards got layups on us for years. I blame us as fans for supporting something that we knew wouldn't work. We knew for years that Okur and Boozer wouldn't work.
 
Next year(2011) depending on Wes and KK we don't have that much $ committed to next year. Outside of D Will, Milly and Okur there is no one committed. CJ and KK2 have team options. I would love for Memo to get traded in this deal some how or in another deal and get rid of his bad contract. Then add that Carter who would have a team option would create even more cap space. You do however have to add Gortat's bad salary and 2 years of Bass but you would still have $ to spend

The Trail Blazers were close to acquiring point guard Chris Paul from the Hornets last week, a source told ESPN.com's Chad Ford.

The proposed deal had Portland sending Andre Miller, Joel Przybilla, Nicolas Batum, Jerryd Bayless and the 22nd pick to New Orleans for Paul and Emeka Okafor.

Hornets general manager Jeff Bower pulled the plug on the deal claiming that his owner wasn't ready to deal Paul.

New Orleans made a trade with Oklahoma City last week that got them under the luxury tax threshold, so they no longer have the financial pressure of dealing Paul.

Also, I wish i would hear rumors of the Jazz FO going after superstars....but sadly that isnt the case.
