Going for 2 after Beal missed 2 was kinda dumb.

But damn I would trust Mitchell with my life when he has that expression on offense.
Agreed. I think you should always shoot a 3 in that situation

Yeah, a few plays before Gobert dropped his shoulder right into ROLO for that dunk. I thought that was a pretty obvious offensive foul, but ROLO didnt react to it in the purpose of a drawing a foul, so he didnt get the foul.

You really do have to flop, to some extent, to get calls your way.
Just like pro wrestling.

2 points in 36 minutes. 32 points in the last 9 games. That's 3.5 point per game in 33 minutes per. Find me one starter in the entire nba that's worse and I'll digress.
Pretty sure you can't find a starter playing that many minutes who scores less.

And then you have the plays where the ref watches to see if the shot goes in before deciding if they are going to blow the whistle or not.

Exactly... its all reactionary. Call it as you see it.. if you don't see it don't call it.

I've played in a lot of basketball leagues and the refs I respected most were the ones that would talk with you and weren't super concerned about digging in and being right. If I talk with a ref and he says "sorry man I just didn't see it" we are good.

Its a hard job but they've made the rule enforcement so screwy.

I didn't read through this gamethread but what was the reaction in here to that flagrant foul call on royce?
He hit the dudes arm. Didn't hold the arm and pull the guy down or anything.
How the **** was that a flagrant. That might have cost us the game

That one is based on reaction too. If he doesn't lay on the ground and acts hurt he likely doesn't get that call. It wasn't where he hit him imo... it was that the guy was in the air and vulnerable and Royce wasn't making a play on the ball. I was fine with it.

It definitely wasn't as bad as the one Royce got called for in the first game against Phoenix. He wound up but got mostly ball and Booker acted like he tackled him... it was almost a clean play and any time someone swipes at the ball hard there will be some wind up... so it looks bad in the replay.

Second time we have done that in the last few games. I thought Snyder was some statistical genius... kind of a basic bitch move tbh.

Sure was nice to bogey drilling threes like a sharpshooter.
If we get that bogey in the playoffs then I think we win the title.

I hope he just continues with that sort of confidence. It wasn't just that shots were going in... it was that there wasn't hesitation or second guessing. Finished on a couple layups he'd been missing. Would really be nice if now he is back to first half of the year 2020 Bogey.

And as good as he supposedly is on defense you would think he would be in the discussion for all nba defensive team since he is a starter on the team with the best record in the league and plays so many minutes. I wonder if he will make the all nba defensive team.

I don’t know man. I may be in the minority but I feel like Royce gets a pass because he’s our best perimeter defender. That isn’t a hard thing to do though. He really doesn’t pass the eye test to me. I don’t think he’s as good of a defender as people say he is. I could be wrong but that’s just how I honestly feel.

I agree with you. I think he is a great rebounder for his size and I think he plays with more effort than anyone on the team and I think he is a good defender. But not an elite defender and not a good enough defender to give him a pass when he scores 2 points against a horrible defensive team while 2 of our better scorers are out.
I mean 2 points in that many minutes against a team like the wizards? Seems like you would score more than 2 points just by accident if you play that many minutes.

I just wanted to add that for those that are saying the Jazz are a fraud and not a contender, this game did not show that win or lose. You thought that before and used this game as an excuse to to spread the negativity, not saying the Jazz are going to win a title only 1 team does and the chances are it is not the Jazz BUT this game did nothing to change the likelihood of them being bounced in the first round or winning a ring.

Excuses people use because national media gives other teams more praise:
Oh oh oh.... but Denver they would never lose to WAS and they beat the Jazz in the playoffs. And CP3 wouldn't let the Suns lose to the crappy Wiz
Well except the Wiz also swept the Nuggz this year on Feb 17 and Feb 25 and Wiz beat the Suns on Jan 11

Oh but but but the true contenders would never lose to them
Mar 4 Wiz beat the Clippers
Feb 22 Wiz beat the Lakers
Jan 3 AND Jan 31, Wiz beat the Nets

So all I'm saying is the Wiz have 20 wins and half of them are against the top 6 teams in the NBA. Good teams play poorly or play down and in the Wiz case I think Westbrook especially does but him and Beal get up and play harder against the better teams.

He's a good solid piece but he's not a foundation piece like we try to make him out to be. He should be playing 15-20 minutes and sometimes more depending on if he's good defense Royce or getting abused Royce.
