What's new

BOGIE

That's what happened when you have a squad full of older players. They are gonna be inconsistent cuz their better days have passed.

Bogey isn’t old given his role/what he does.
Not just talking about Bojan. But him, Ingles, Conley and even Favs will give you good numbers on one night, and be complete non factors on another. That's how things are for older players past their prime. You simply don’t/can't rely on them for 30min every night. Their bodies won't allow it. Like you said, rest them. Its not a new concept. Almost all teams rest their older players for them to stay in game shape. Russ, CP3, KD, Lebron... I don't see how Joe, Bojan or Mike is any different. If them staying on the floor is just to be a complete non factor that hurts the team, id rather see Oni or Morgan

The guy had the best season of his career last year. He's coming off of wrist surgery and hasn't played basketball in 9 months. Just give him some time.

He's one game away from blowing our minds.

The point isn't that Bogie needs more time. The point is that he is not ready to contribute at this time and Quin still only trusted and had confidence in 8 players (Niang had 6 minutes). We all can see it. Bogie TOs don't have anything to do with his wrist. He is just out of sync right now. I just don't understand why Coach isn't playing Morgan or Oni.

We were previously concerned about only having one big-tie scorer in Mitchell. But now we have Bogie, Clarkson, heck even Conley. So, scoring should not be a problem. Granted, it is only 4 games in the season; I would hope to have a little patience before freaking out.

My guess is that Bogey needs the playing time to get back into sync. Putting him on the bench doesn’t help him re-acclimate. We may just need to suffer through a poor stretch of play at the beginning to get in in rhythm again. That said, Bogey firing on all cylinders is still a piss poor defender.

I'm more worried about Mitchell than Bogey. Bogey shot over 41% from 3 last season and 40%+ the two seasons prior to that. He'll get back into the groove.
