At this point it should be Donovan at point without a doubt. His improvement at distributing the ball in just the last month has been impressive. Conley off the bench where we need better players is the call. I honestly think Conley would be ok with this considering how good Donovan has been. Actually Conley might be one of the few starters in the NBA to sacrifice his pride for the good of the team and not wreck the chemistry. It's about going for that ring.

The Jazz are going to have to work out a bunch of **** when he comes back and it's fine. I hope he's ready to play the first 5 minutes before being pulled then replacing Donovan and playing with the bench unit.

In any case, I have said for years and will continue to say that Mitchell's best position for success is as a PG (or at least the shortest Jazz player on the floor).

This. I've been saying all along we're better without him. With Clarkson his return is only going to cause a backslide imo.

Conley won’t be taking Clarkson’s minutes, though.

So Conley will come off the bench? If not there is more of a disruption than your oversimplification would imply.

He’ll sub out early and he’ll replace a lot of minutes when Mudiay would have come in for Donovan. Likewise, Royce will move to the bench and get more minutes at the 4 as guard minutes may push up into wing spots.

The sad truth is that even jazzfanz don’t truly recognize or appreciate how good Gobert really is when he is left off a list such as this by a jazzfan. He’s by far the best player on this team. It’s not even close
