Center Options?

Duncan's contract looks like one of the worst in the NBA, they're desperate to move off of him and he wasn't even in their playoff rotation. If you think Don's defense is bad, oohhwee. He still has 3 yr/$50M on his deal too so you'd be eating up cap space for a dude that's mediocre.
It ain't that bad and it won't hurt us during the tank. He finds his stroke again and he can easily become an asset.

If Poetl signs an extension he’s a good option. He can’t get paid a ton, but if he inks a deal that’s easily a tradeable contract.

I honestly don’t really care who is the center. We should simply be looking for strong assets. The older guys (Conley, Bogey, Beverley, and Clarkson) should all be moved for younger pieces who won’t lose value.

As far as the on roster options. Vanderbilt is probably the best option. He was essentially MIN center last year.

Giving a guy a $90M extension then benching him in the playoffs is a major redflag. All reports about him have been that teams want additional assets to take on his contract.
The being pulled is what makes his contract look so bad, I am saying on most teams he would not have been.

And if that means there's even more incentive to toss in assets then great. Miami has to come correct if they are talking.

I would rather trade for Joe Harris than Robinson. I think you could get something from BKN (or LAL depending on Kyrie) for him. He’s probably out a lot of next year, but then he only has one year left. All you need is him to play for 20ish games and then you can trade him to a contender on a one year deal. I think we can trade Conley for a pick and Harris.

His scoring numbers and efficiency also declined in the regular season. 4 yr/65M got a 10 ppg scorer on under 40% that doesn’t rebound, create for others, or defend.

Yeah, that’s gonna be a no from me dog.

He also didn’t shoot as well as normal… on a non playoff team his defense is less worrisome.

I don’t want Duncan… his contract is being discussed as it relates to a Donovan trade. If Duncan had to be the salary match it doesn’t bother me much. Ain’t like he’s Randle… he’s movable at that number if he needs to be.
