It's really difficult choice among CJ, Neto, and Withey. Before the exhibition season, I like everyone else would've said CJ is the odd man out, but now, how can you cut a guy who plays with such passion and intensity? He just flat out brings it every time he's on the court. With small ball in, he's a guy who can play lock down defense on two guards as well. We have Bolomboy to develop, and we have four other bigs who can contribute. Neto has looked good too, but we already have three good point guards. So, should we have four point guards and five bigs, or three PGs and six bigs? A guy like CJ could develop into a player like DMC, though probably not as good.
 
He reminds me of Price. Mostly trash, but plays his *** off, and has a few highlight plays.

I love his hustle. Is there room for him and Chris Bosh though? ;-)

He's much improved this year, I think. Withey provides a greater need at his position, but guys like CJ are hard to find. Look what happened with DMC. He was better than CJ, but not significantly better, and we let him go and he blew up. CJ has a good outside shot and could potentially develop into a 40 percent 3-pt shooter. And he plays defense with the same intensity of DMC. We shouldn't let this guy go.
 
Long-time CJ supporter here. I'd rather him make the team that Withey. I think.

I'd rather Gobert, Favors, and Diaw play the 5 than Withey. That sorta leave Withey with zero minutes.

His defense really isn't good though. He struggles to defend without fouling. His shot is terrible. He is a great hustle player and rebounds well.

Until Gobert or Favors go down.

The zero minutes also applies to CJ and there is absolutely no reason to play a wing that can't hit a wide-open corner 3.

Agreed - he's in the 20's percent wise from both corners. How many of those misses result in transition baskets for the other teams? You can't have that.

Real jazz fans like myself remember a guy nicknamed Junk Yard Dog. We let him go cause people said this about him. Rest of us saw potential an he went on to be a All Star. CJ is are next Wesley Matthews an we need to lock him up pronto.
