Nobody wants China to stand for civilization and a new world order. They're as backward as the Han Dynasty ever was or ever could be. Just simple, reflexive automatons more or less, trying so hard to be compliant with the Emperor because he can have your head, or your balls, with a quick glance to his right-hand man. There is little to check his absolute tyranny. Oh, yes.... a big bureaucracy made of of folks who have no free press to raise a "Resistance" movement of any kind.

Trying to posit some kind of equivalence, morally, between China and the US, or between Trump and Xi, is nonsense. Hillary and Xi, maybe. Obama and Xi, no..... because Obama is just the
Emperor's shoeshine boy.


America still has a constitution, and that is about all the keeps us from going down in the dumps any worse than we are.

Bannon is simply claiming we have more competent science, something Xi doesn't have to believe.

There's a pretty elaborate conspiracy theory about the virus, prompted by a supposed Chinese military intelligence officer spilling the beans after his son came down with the virus. I'm not quite buying it yet, but am looking at evidence as it comes up.

The gist of the story is that the ccp was trying to develop a nerve agent they could put in the air as an aerosol that would make the Hong Kong population more docile and quiet down the protests. The nerve agent was tested on incarcerated populations in remote areas of China (mostly Xinjiang Prov.), and it turned out to be too deadly during trials to use. It was then being held in the BSL-4 facility in Wuhan when the CIA heard about it and tried to purchase it. A struggle ensued, and the nerve agent escaped containment. It's lethal. The actual death toll in Wuhan alone is over 200,000 and possibly in the millions.

So what's happening is that some people in Wuhan and China more broadly are getting the flu as usual, since it's flu season, and others are being afflicted by this deadly bio-weapon. The ccp is coercing medical personnel in China to diagnose regular flu cases as coronavirus, but this is just a cover. There is no coronavirus. There is instead this deadly bio-weapon that escaped containment. The WHO is supporting the cover story, and so is the U.S. No one wants to talk about bio-warfare in the public sector or to disclose behind-the-scenes cooperation between the U.S. and China. The doctor who tried to blow the whistle in December Li Wenliang was taken out to cover it up.

Not sure I'm buying it, but this is the story. If it's a hoax, it's a really elaborate one.

He's demanding that global experts gain access to real data on the ground in China, a perfectly reasonable thing to expect in the event of a global pandemic. Your trying to make a political statement in response seems pretty typical though.

The censorship in China is terrible. I'm not sure most people in China care about it though. I wish more people cared and would push for this to change in China. I was shocked to find out that many people in rural areas had no idea what a vpn is or why they would need one. I'm not sure they knew a lot of the internet is blocked to them. Everybody in bigger cities knows this and has a vpn.

"The whistleblower is seeking federal protection, alleging she was unfairly and improperly reassigned after raising concerns about the safety of these workers to HHS officials, including those within the office of Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar. She was told Feb. 19 that if she does not accept the new position in 15 days, which is March 5, she would be terminated".
