Swish!
What I can tell from all this data is that starting seems to help a player get more minutes on this current team.
Swish!
And starting Randy Foye 72 times in front of Alec Burks last season was part of this "perfect pace"
The same Randy Foye who was ****ing humiliated last night by Burks....No, what I would call perfect is Burks' coming out party came against the same scrub Corbin insisted on playing in front of him in last year's abortion of a season.
Message received Coach Ty?
I'd leave Burks in the second unit. He can build his confidence better that way. But I think it's absurd he doesn't average 30 plus. I'm always mystified when Burks plays 24 minutes while Hayward ALWAYS gets 37 even if he's shooting 4-14 which he often does.
The simple answer is that - "Yes, Burks is ready to be a starter."
The ONLY way that this happens is if the team trades Gordon Hayward (not my favorite option because I still have a lot of faith in him being a key player for the Jazz) or if Hayward slides over to the SF position while Burks plays shooting guard. Right now, they play the same position. . . so something would have to give. Personally, the way that Gordon Hayward has played this season, I think that moving him over would strengthen two positions. He's a huge upgrade over Richard Jefferson and when given opportunities, Burks has played up to the same level (or higher) that Hayward has at shooting guard.
I like Jefferson's 3 point-shooting in the starting lineup. Burks can shoot the three but that's not his main weapon. He needs the ball more and Trey and Gordon will dominate it.
18/6/6 on 45% shooting is inefficient?
Those are his last 10 games btw. If you'd like to go further back, he's shooting 44.6% for the months of December and January. I'd hardly consider that inefficient.
