Kakminsky knows he's not going to get time ahead of Favors or Gobert. It's not that he's a snob from Madison, Wisconsin.
Tell me how the situation with Frank is any different. Enlighten me.

The idea that Utah should only draft guys who want to come to Utah is laughable. Hell, even Jimmer wanted NY over Utah. Utah is not a preferred destination among NBA players, and that's just the way it is.
Neither did Frank. It's strictly business. He and his agent, mostly his agent I'd guess, have decided there are better fits. It doesn't mean he doesn't like Utah, or the Jazz, or the fans. Why do some people take it so personally? We are not exactly a preferred destination. He never said that.

I've been to a number of NBA cities. There are maybe 5 or 6 that are attractive. The rest are meh and it's all about winning.
Attractive for young buck$: LA, Miami, NY
Maybe attractive: Chicago, San Francisco, Dallas, ??
Utah is probably a great situation for Kaminsky. We want a stretch big. He's a stretch big. He can get 25 minutes as a rookie.
Also, they have polled NBA players before about teams they would most/least like to play for. I feel bad for bursting the bubble of fans who have never lived outside of SLC, but Utah is near the bottom for 98% of NBA players, all things being equal. Obviously there are factors that change things for some players, such as money, winning situation, etc., but Utah can't afford to only draft players who dream of playing in Utah.
