Following potential 2015 draftees

The idea that Utah should only draft guys who want to come to Utah is laughable. Hell, even Jimmer wanted NY over Utah. Utah is not a preferred destination among NBA players, and that's just the way it is.

Tell me how the situation with Frank is any different. Enlighten me.

Well for one Frank is working out for teams picking after us. Exum did not. They have plenty of front court depth as well in Len and the Morris brothers.
I don't know what kind of sign you want lol. He isn't going to come out on twitter and say "**** Utah", but his actions speak loud enough.

Kakminsky knows he's not going to get time ahead of Favors or Gobert. It's not that he's a snob from Madison, Wisconsin.

Exactly. It's pretty common for players to want to avoid being drafted where the situation isn't ideal, but some people blow that out of proportion. If Utah passed on Frank, it will be because they like another player more, not because he doesn't like us enough.

Jimmer is from Glen Falls NY. And Jimmer had all good to say about the Jazz and did work out for us. Next.

I've been to a number of NBA cities. There are maybe 5 or 6 that are attractive. The rest are meh and it's all about winning.

Attractive for young buck$: LA, Miami, NY

Maybe attractive: Chicago, San Francisco, Dallas, ??

FWIW, Salt Lake is considered like a country club setting compared to most cities.

It's just that black dudes probably need to bring their own entourage.

He never said that.
Neither did Frank. It's strictly business. He and his agent, mostly his agent I'd guess, have decided there are better fits. It doesn't mean he doesn't like Utah, or the Jazz, or the fans. Why do some people take it so personally? We are not exactly a preferred destination.

Utah is probably a great situation for Kaminsky. We want a stretch big. He's a stretch big. He can get 25 minutes as a rookie.

Also, they have polled NBA players before about teams they would most/least like to play for. I feel bad for bursting the bubble of fans who have never lived outside of SLC, but Utah is near the bottom for 98% of NBA players, all things being equal. Obviously there are factors that change things for some players, such as money, winning situation, etc., but Utah can't afford to only draft players who dream of playing in Utah.

He won't be starting anytime soon, so I doubt he sees it as a great situation. If he's BPA at 12, Utah will take him anyway, and chances are he'll have a change of heart once he realizes it's a better situation than he thought.

Funny because every other player around us (Oubre, Turner, Looney, Lyles, Dekker, Portis, Looney) worked out for us. Booker maybe refused as well. But the % says Kaminsky is the exception to not wanting to come here. If he was a tier above those guys I wouldn't care and take my chances it would work out. But he is on the same tier, just not worth the trouble of having a possible malcontent like Kanter. We'll see if DL agrees.
