Following Potential 2020 draftees

Guys I really like for the Jazz in the early 20s:
- Jaden McDaniels (if he drops)
- Theo Maledon (if he drops)
- Aaron Nesmith (if he drops) -- Dude's a knockdown shooter from lots of angles. Good size and adequate athleticism at 6'6".
- Jahmi'us Ramsey -- He's going to be a good pro. He has an NBA body and NBA game that's ready to go, and he's not even 19 yet. I think he's underrated and should go mid-first round. He looks like a guy who could start for the Rockets ahead of Daniel House and Ben McLemore.
- Leandro Bolmaro -- a 6'8" wing with a handle who plays with pace, gets downhill, passes with vision and timing, and has some competitive fire. He'd be a great get.

Guys I'm okay with more or less in the early 20s:
-- Tre Jones -- He's bigger and better than Tyus and could probably run a team as a starting point without getting killed defensively.
-- Jalen Smith -- Think Thomas Bryant with a bit more rebounding and effort on defense.
-- Paul Reed -- 6'9" versatile defender and rebounder that might allow the Jazz to play guys like Conley and Bogdanovic at the same time. He can score a bit. A better version of Kevon Looney or Moe Harkless.

Nice video on Bolmaro. He's 6'7" with a 6'8" wingspan (like Gordon Hayward), and some of his floor vision and passing is reminiscent of Ricky Rubio. A guy that size with his handle and ability to get downhill is a valuable player.

If he measures out like Derrick Favors, he's a real commodity. You think he's 6'8" or 6'9"?
Reggie Perry was at the NBA combine last year. He's 6'8" without shoes. 7' 1/2" wingspan.

He's added quite a bit of strength in the last few years, he can bang down low in the NBA. Think he can fit in as a backup C for sure, if he keeps developing his skill he could end up a PF after all tho.

I'd compare him more to a Richaun Holmes, who was actually extremely effective this year as a starter. Perry has more natural offensive talent but he's not naturally explosive like Holmes.

I'm interested to see what kind of vert #'s Perry will post, I think what you wanna watch for progress. His #'s last year in that part of the testing were underwhelming. 31 1/2" max vert 28" standing, some of the lowest posted.

Yeah, looked up his combine numbers. He had an 8'10" standing reach. He needs at least a couple inches there to play the 5 full time, imo. He's a big dude at 250 lbs, who in today's NBA is probably a 5. He's probably skilled enough to play like Nurkic, if he's big enough.

I'm assuming the Jazz won't be able to have their annual cattle call where they bring guys in and put them through their paces like in years past. I'm not sure how effective that exercise really was in getting an NBA ready player.

Yes, working players out in person is probably useless. Real galaxy brain stuff there homey.

Yeah, he's a 5, not a 4. I would compare him to Bobby Portis. He doesnt really play much defense, isn't as mobile on the perimeter as he looks, and I doubt he will be a rim protector in the NBA. Projecting him to play like Nukic is a huge leap and probably never going to happen, he just doesnt have that size.

Portis turned into a really soft jumpshot dominant player though, so maybe Perry can develop differently (as in better face-up game attacking the basket to draw contact), but that is a the path the 4/5 tweeners often take to be NBA relevant.
