What's new

Following Potential 2025 Draftees

Just off the top of my head I'd say Oden, Durant, and Luka I'd have over Flagg for sure. He's probably in the next tier with guys like Davis, Wall, and Zion in terms of #1 picks.
now that is interesting because i always thought oden was a bust. when the medical reported one of his legs was like 3/4 of an inch higher than the other i was like pass. when oden started having medical issues i was like how hard is this GM business. of course i also thought luca was just okay. so maybe its harder than it looks. To me Ace screams stay away. all those terrible shots he takes that somehow drop in college wont work in the NBA. everyone love Egor but he cannot shoot. i see him falling 10 or lower. i peronally think Cooper is awesome.

If you watched Duke play you’d know that Sion James is Duke’s PG. He and Coop have the ball the most. Proctor has been moved off the ball.

He’s got some playmaking around him. Pretending he has such a bigger load and is a better prospect than KD is unserious at this point. Maybe he gets there.

I don’t really think it matters. These guys are so good they transcend among the plebs in college basketball. As far as KD, he’s Kevin ****ing Durant. People using his name to make excuses for guys like Ace and Ian Jackson. Disgraceful.

KD was Wemby before Wemby and I’d even argue better than Wemby as a prospect. There was nothing theoretical about KD at Texas.

I fail to see how Flagg needing to be his own PG is relevant. KD probably couldn’t have (nod to Coop Dogg there), but even if he could have, it would have been a waste of his talents.

KD put up 29 ppg on 50%+ shooting from 3 (on high volume). He also murdered people in the post, led the league in blocks + rebounds, and led the nation in win shares.

In no way have his pro accomplishments eclipsed what people thought he could have been as a prospect. He was a force in college.

I almost feel bad for Flagg at this point. The kid never claimed he's the next Kevin Durant. It's just the people who can't enjoy basketball anymore unless there's some absurd treasure at the end of the tanking rainbow.

Flagg is being set up for "failure" in the NBA - in other words, he plays hard, misses a ton of shots, realizes he can't dribble against pro SF defenders and eventually finds his own path and role in the league. That role may not be anything like the glazing brigade is imagining right now.

I respect Flagg for trying to play the right way despite all the ridiculous hype elevating him to the level of all time greats. He clearly has a good head on his shoulders.
