What's new

Game Of Thrones

The grey worm thing I get because he wanted personal revenge on someone for his girlfriend's death. And it also kind of symbolically shows which ruler he follows as he ignores John Snow and emulates Dany.
Funny how that works. Dani's decision making got his gf killed while Jon's, at one point, saved them both.

I just didn't buy, at all, that the same woman who focused so heavily on defending the powerless, when presented with a sign of victory, decided to throw all of that away and starting burning down smallfolk and soldiers who had surrendered. If they show her going straight to the Red Keep and burning that down, I can see that. There was no point to the firing up the rest of the city except to terrorize people, and that's never been in Daenerys's character.
I think a whole lot of people are trying way too hard to ruin something they love because, well, I’m not sure why exactly.

That being said, this is really the singular criticism of the episode for me. And yeah, things are now happening WAY too fast, both events and character shifts.

THAT being said, they took some pains to stress that the Targaryans are mercurial as a rule. She also has no real Westerosi friends or allies at this point, and she herself said she will rule out of love or
fear, so “let it be fear” was foreshadowing what was really to come. Maybe this wasn’t some off-the-cuff decision in the heat of battle.

For the most part, I have enjoyed this season, and I’m glad that characters are finally dying after a two+ season hiatus (because it’s dishonest that main characters have this immortality and that was a fundamental principle of the series). I’ll hold my tongue cuz I hate when people come together to talk about something they love and then it just descends into infinite criticism of that thing.

I still think the whole plot of trying to steal a wright just to show Cersei last season was lamer than anything this season.
1000%, the show jumped the shark long ago. I'm shocked at how many people are calling this season a disaster that ruins the whole show. I settled in for the schlock long ago, it has been a different show ever since season 4 ended. The writing and pacing has been off for years, but at least these episodes have been entertaining.

I'm sorry people aren't able to enjoy it for what it is at this point, and confused if you've come to the "This isn't the show I fell in love with"conclusion only within the last few weeks.

Dany needs to add to her title now:

Daenerys Stormborn of House Targaryen, the First of Her Name, Queen of the Andals and the First Men, Protector of the Seven Kingdoms, the Mother of Dragons, the Khaleesi of the Great Grass Sea, the Unburnt, the Breaker of Chains. Burner of women and children. Murderer of the innocent. Destroyer of cities. Psycho nutjob.
She is more beautiful when she goes bananas.

Fellas, why do the producers talk about the scenes and think how they feel about what’ll happen next at the end of episodes? Is this smth new or was it always there? Because it’s retarded to think people wanna see your faces after you **** all over a great production.

Not impressed at all how this is all turning out:(. To be honest leaked scripts from 2017 were way more interesting and satisfying as far as ending goes... maybe they were fake, maybe they were true and shows creators decided to change things after leaks to have a different ending. All in all, despite these last few seasons being quite flawed it still will remain as one of the best shows I have ever seen on TV.

They shouldn’t have shown the Mountain’s face. Dumb. That’s like Horror movie 101. You’re better off not showing certain things. The unknown leaves more fear. Should’ve just shown The Hound’s reaction when the mask was ripped off and left it at that.

Pacing still blows. At this point, I hope the dragon kills everyone, including Dany, sits in the throne and lights up a fatty. Or that everyone dies and Bronn shows back up, cheerily sits in it, and swigs some beer.

I wonder if they'll leave some open ends so they can do GOT movies. That's what Walking Dead is going to do. They already got the big budget Michael Bay special effects down pretty well.
