Too many last-second saves, too many implausible actions by the characters (Davos casually seeking Melisandre's help for example)

Everything about the Jon Snow storyline so far this season has been terrible. Why do they feel the need to guard his body? Why would Davos think it even possible to bring someone back from the dead? Why does he want to bring him back from the dead?

Davos has seen her do insane things and probably considers her capable of damn near anything. This leads to them guarding his body until he finds out if its an option. As for why, loyalty or belief that Snow needs to lead them in what is coming.

I see the thought process there but it wasn't shown in the episodes very well.

Haha, no other show is as highly analyzed as this one. The complaints are usually comical when you watch other shows and do the same to them. It's television. Jesus ****.

Agreed with Cy, the ending was a bit too low key for me... wanted a bit more fireworks there.



Also if she was able to do what she did for at the ending, why didn't she do the same for Stannis?!?! Not sure how believable her motivation is there to do what she did. She has had no real connection/relationship with JS. I also still don't see what's in it for her, it's not like JS has the motivation to rule, he has repeatedly said that all he wanted to do in this life was to be the knights watchmen.

Maybe Stannis had his head cut off. Bringing that back to life would be challenging. Also, she didn't believe she had the power but only did it cause Davos asked her.

They aren't guarding his body. They are just trapped in that room because the Night's Watch is going to kill them if they leave. I don't think it has anything to do with them guarding the body. It just happens to be where they are since they retrieved it from the snow.

Didn't the show producer say something a long time ago like he was surprised how popular Jon Snow has been hence him keeping Jon ln the show longer than he had anticipated? (He was supposed to have been written out a while ago)


Did anyone else read about that?


I wonder how this is a case of the writer caving in to the show's popularity and hence creating a dramatic storyline due to viewers demand-expectation of a particular character.

He stayed exactly as long as the books had him, and JS coming back was pretty obvious from reading the books.

So no, I don't think you're right at all. JS was not supposed to have been written out of the show. You should really read the books.

Collected body out of respect for their friend.

Skipped meeting because they knew if they went they may get killed. The first thing they talk about is killing the nights watch as revenge asap, despite certain death, before they decide to send for help.

The whole reason they stayed was to wait for the one guy to comeback with the wildlings. I think they obviously want to maintain control of Castle Black for strategic purposes. They were just stalling the entire time more than they were guarding the body.

I wasn't going to watch the show till the book got out but with all the threats of spoilers, anticipation and uncertainty of book ever coming out, I couldn't hold on.

First to say, butchering of Dorne plotline continues. I loved the Dorne culture, Dornish characters and really wanted to see them well done on TV. Book was going slowly but at least it was setting something up, be it Doran get killed or not. No Aegon in sight as well. And I still don't know which Sand Snake is which.

I don't know if I should believe some of these events will get into the book. Like Bolton getting killed. Will it happen before or after the war? It leaves North too open. It could create storylines for the book. I remember Brynden Tully, blackfish going to North. Davos searching for Rikon, I see none for the Tv series.

I am sure Ramsay is taking the North down with himself. He won't rule for long.
Resurrection scene wasn't very Mel. Mel I know would do it for her own reasons, not because some godless smuggler Stannis trusted asked her.
These 2 episodes felt like writers were trying get some stuff out of the way. It will probably get better when they don't to close plotlines Martin created anymore.
