When I read the article I didn't think that I was supposed to feel bad for Hadley or think he is some kind of hero.

I read the article and thought, oh that's cool that byu went to the prison and talked with the inmates and then inmates seemed to feel good about it and get some inspiration from it..... Then I moved on.

I am really pretty surprised that the article stirred things up so much.

My point this whole time has been that this article is not that horrible, and not that big of a deal..... So ya I surrender I guess.

Also fixed, I admit I was wrong about things quite often and also change my mind a lot..... so surrendering in an argument is something I do frequently and I don't see that as big deal either.
Im sorry if my inability to continue arguing against you or anyone else after I have realized I am wrong is something that upsets you in the future.
 
The article is NOT ABOUT byu going to prison. The article IS ABOUT hadley. So, if the spirit moved you with respect to a peripheral detail, then that's sweet. But it's silly to enter a discussion about an article insisting that we talk about what it ISN'T ABOUT.

a non-horrible bias puff piece? That's quite a niche you've created for a piece of writing.

LOL. You don't realize how silly you are, do you? Again, this is why I love BYU and HATE BYU fan. YOU WERE THE ONE THAT STARTED ALL THIS. YOU WERE THE ONE THAT BACKED THE ARTICLE THAT SAID ALL UTE FANS WERE TRASH AND BLAMED UTAH FOR HADLEY DRINKING ALCOHOL.

Then you bring up the Blechen video. Again, YOU ARE THE ONE THAT IS MAKING SOMETHING OUT OF NOTHING.

So, Hadley's problems didn't start when he decided to break the HC. They started when he was caught. And it was Utah's fault he was caught.

"I had no intention of mentioning the game in the book, but the extreme profanity and vile abuse I witnessed that night caught me off guard. Utah fans spit on BYU players and taunted BYU fans by mocking the school's honor code. In one sense it reminded of the 1980s when the Notre Dame-Miami rivalry was cast as The Catholics versus The Convicts. But the BYU-Utah rivalry has a certain us-versus-them tone. Only it is Mormons versus Mormons."

This is such typical BYU behavior. Hadley's problems were because he got caught and Ute fans spit and swear and pour beer on everyone.

Again, get over yourselves. YOU guys are the jerks. YOU guys are who Elder Holland and Pres Uchtdorf are talking to. YOU.

I didn't even know blechen was in the video lol.
I didn't and still don't care about the video.

My point was that no one really made a big deal of people (blechen apparently) making fun of missionaries but a guy embellishes an article about byu talking to inmates and it becomes a big deal.

Huh... this is news to me but I will just take your word for it cause I know you would never embellish or exagerrate anything so what you say must be true

BECAUSE IT WASN'T MAKING FUN OF MISSIONARIES (ONLY DUMB BYU FANS WOULD GET THAT FROM THAT VIDEO) AND THE ARTICLE IS HOW IT IS UTAH'S FAULT FOR HADLEY GETTING CAUGHT AND UTE FANS ARE MEAN.

Big difference between the two. Perfect zoob logic on display here.
