If Hill could stay on the floor, yeah, he might be better for us then Rubio. Hill was good for us but he's injury prone and he's getting older and you couldn't trust him because of that. Not his fault but he didn't play the GS series and missed a lot of the season. And tbh, and this might be unfair, but it felt like after he knew he wasn't signing here and would be a free agent he sat when he could have played. That's why I think it really was the right move to let him walk. Whether Rubio is the long term solution or not he's on a good contract and I'd rather keep our options open and find the right guy then have been stuck paying Hill big bucks till he was 34 or whatever. Looking at last season, injuries really limited that team. What if we were decently healthy and won 58 games? What if Hill played and we didn't get humiliated in the Warriors series? These are big what ifs but they matter. Even this season, look how bad injuries are killing us. Same story every year.
