George Hill Blows

George Hill is having his worst season since his rookie year in almost every stat. He is playing for a team with 5 wins and playing less minutes. He took LESS money to play there than we offered him to stay here.

Whether you wish he were here or not, he blows.

He is a system player that found the perfect one for him in Utah. He is now on the wrong side of 30, playing with worse teammates and a worse coach. So not terribly surprising. He has had some bad years in the past just like this.

I think we would have drafted Dejounte Murray if we had not traded for Hill. With hindsight it would have been the right move, although in the moment it probably was right to grab Hill.

I am becoming less and less of a proponent of trading our first round picks. We've done well with them and its really the only way we can get impact guys in Utah.

**** GH (and anyone else with those initials).

Would still be great in our system, putting up 18/6/6 and playing in a winning side. I hope he never sees the playoffs again. Dude was a phony just like Benedict. Talks the talk but cant walk the walk.

Also, **** Indiana and **** Butler!!

As bad as Hill has been all his shooting numbers blow Rubio out of the water except FT%

Hill just needs a better fit - he'll get traded to a contender either this year or in the offseason.

Only if he starts playing better. That’s a big contract to move with hopes he will play better. He screwed that one up hard.

It's actually crazy how playing in UTAH rejuvenated his career. He played really well for us in his year here. I think he was a Snyder type of player, Snyders system was a perfect fit for Hill. I think he and Rudy had some beef and thats part of the reason why he was gone. Also his agent is an idiot.

17points 4 assists is damn amazing with the slow pace we played with.

Dejointe Murray hasn't exactly been that great for the Spurs though.

I wouldn't call him a system player. It's not like Indiana ran some master system. He is just a complimentary player. Kings don't have any primary option for him to compliment.

And that toe thing might have really ****ed him up.

I’m pretty sure he could compliment everyone on that roster, if he wanted.

He also didn't produce that well in Indiana.

He's a better player than the role he's traditionally taken on, but he is a career role player.

If Hill could stay on the floor, yeah, he might be better for us then Rubio. Hill was good for us but he's injury prone and he's getting older and you couldn't trust him because of that. Not his fault but he didn't play the GS series and missed a lot of the season. And tbh, and this might be unfair, but it felt like after he knew he wasn't signing here and would be a free agent he sat when he could have played. That's why I think it really was the right move to let him walk. Whether Rubio is the long term solution or not he's on a good contract and I'd rather keep our options open and find the right guy then have been stuck paying Hill big bucks till he was 34 or whatever. Looking at last season, injuries really limited that team. What if we were decently healthy and won 58 games? What if Hill played and we didn't get humiliated in the Warriors series? These are big what ifs but they matter. Even this season, look how bad injuries are killing us. Same story every year.

George Hill helped this team win a lot of games, even with missing games and playing on one good foot.

Rubio would help this team win games if he didn't play and had positive trade value.

So, no.
