You understand that you're primarily talking about explosiveness and Kanter doesn't have that, right?

Nope. Aggression. Don't have to be an athletic freak to be aggressive. Don't see much aggression from lantern. If you get the ball 2 feet from the rim and you are nearly 7 feet tall it is a mortal sin not to at least attempt the dunk, especially with others around you.

It just blows me away at how Kanter doesn't even try to jump on these plays. I will admit that he isn't the worlds best athlete, but he's still ok, and he only needs to jump a little over a foot to dunk the ball. Instead, he shoots a set shot at point blank with his feet stuck to the ground like his shoes are made of honey. Usual result, spiked ball to his head. Kanter is nominated for the most blocked shots by a big man over 6'10", that is, his own shots. Locke was talking about it.

I will admit that he isn't the worlds best athlete, but he's still ok, and he only needs to jump a little over a foot to dunk the ball. Instead, he shoots a set shot at point blank with his feet stuck to the ground like his shoes are made of honey. Usual result, spiked ball to his head. Kanter is nominated for the most blocked shots by a big man over 6'10", that is, his own shots. Locke was talking about it.

He still thinks he is indispensable. I hope that last Lakers game gave him a hint.

When you barely clear the rim on most of your dunks, maybe trying to do that from a dead stop against the opposing team's primary defensive big at the highest levels of competition in the world is a little more difficult than some of you seem to suggest.

Enes doesn't have the explosiveness to score in a crowd from a standing position. I'm not sure if the coaches are telling him to put it up when he's surrounded under the basket or if he just loses his head, but I think passing it out is usually a better play. This is his most frustrating flaw on offense. There's no point taking low value shots with loads of time left on the shot clock.

Malone had several highly productive seasons under-the-rim. Good thing he's Enes' coach.

Maybe he's trying to mold his skill set into something he can excel at? Like that hard drive pivot followed by a soft shot (dunk it dunk it booggah buggah)? Kanter will have to be Kanter, not some prototype that NAOS' wannabe hates us ever suggesting.
