I really do hope his lack of defensive...enthusiasm is a strategic decision and not a philosophical one. I'd be hard pressed to put him on the floor in the NBA given the effort he puts on that end.
wow, this isn't the same BYU team that played on Thursday.

My Bulldogs went all Sloanfeld on St. Johns tonight. Time to beat another sorry *** team in BYU. I'm not big into college ball, but it's going to be sweet having bragging rights over crapratcho like a Cameron Wake sack on Mark Sanchez.
+1.Jimmer's "defense" is by design of Dave Rose. He knows he needs jimmer on the floor as often as possible so by giving him the smallest defensive assignment he's able to go 40 and look fresh for every single minute. Not to mention at times the zone D that BYU runs is downright stifling! Even with jimmer covering about 9 square feet they can make it tough for their opponents to create something. Clearly this team at this point in the tourney will live or die by the jumper, but if they are hitting a solid percentage of their shots and playing great team D like tonight they could get into the final four with Pitt out now
As usual Sloanfeld is wrong. BYU just took the Zags to school.
*Gonzaga is going to be scary good next year though. That is a young talented team.
