What's new

Griffin PIGS get slaughtered in LA tonight

For the record, I like Tinsley. He can be useful, but he shouldn't ever try to guard a good player, and he shouldn't be forced to shoulder such a load. I honestly might prefer him to Mo in all honesty (I know that's nuts).

That said, the Jazz need to just play their best players, and conventional wisdom says your best guards are Mo, Burks, Foye, and Hayward (who is also a forward). Tinsley in a pinch is wonderful, Tinsley as a backup is probably okay in a vacuum as well, but you cannot justify him or Earl playing over Burks. Similarly, Marvin Williams is lucky to get on the floor at all, let alone ahead of anyone that actually tries and can produce at all.

I like you because you're Dutch. But in all fairness, you're a narrow-minded a**. The Jazz's most productive line-ups this year and last had Al Jefferson in them, along with Favors. The Jazz's worst line-ups consistently have Foye, Marvin Wiliams and Jamal Tinsley in them.
A lot of bad lineups with Al (and Earl...), which makes sense since he's last on the team in +/-.

True. But I'm focusing on this year. Could you imagine what the media would be saying if Lebron James were playing on a team whose starting line-up was Tinsley, Foye and Marvin Williams? It would be getting spurned on national television every single day.

LBJ was playing on that team and took the to the NBA finals.

Maybe we'll trade big al before the deadline so it clears the logjam we have and get us a much needed pg........

yeah, ikr bledsoe killed us tonight, what an impactful player. we should run our offense thru him! DAMN U KOC!!!!!!

I'm indifferent to Al. I don't think Al will be brought back. But you're out of your mind if you think Al is the problem. All the analysts look at the Jazz and say the problem is Foye. ESPN repeatedly says that Marvin Williams is the worst starting SF in the league. Al has his faults, but he and Sap are playing with 2nd-rate players in the starting line-up.

wasnt hayward also sucking when starting allongside al.

what tells me everything is williams does not make mistakes. he gets a few touches per game

If you swap Al for Lebron, this team easily wins 50 games, and possibly 60.

They're both on rookie contracts still.

Al wasn't traded. Look at it this way:

If the Jazz had no intentions of resigning Al, and building the team around Favors and Kanter, they would have moved him at the deadline. IF no acceptable trades were presented, then Al's minutes would IMMEDIATELY drop. He wouldn't start, and Favors or Kanter (whoever the Jazz felt was the potential "piece" would start above Al).

The fact that the Jazz are still playing as if Al is still "the man" shows you their intentions with Al. He is arguably our fourth best big, yet they treat him as if he is their best.

Al is the future for the Jazz. Every move the Jazz make screams this. Don't listen to what they tell you. Look at what their actions say they are doing.
