Why would the Utah fanbase take Sloan side over Williams? IN this situation, Sloan has been given 23 years to produce. He has stayed consistent but has gotten worse the last few years. The writing has been on the wall that the players have been tuning out Sloan. Its almost as though some Jazz fans want Sloan as head coach and dont care about the players.

If the Deron connection is true, he's not going to WANT to stick around any longer with all the hate due to come his way. Only winning a championship single-handedly could turn away the impending wrath.

Jazz fans have no memory or emotional complexity, nobody will care about this in a year

Funny that the article describes Sloan as complaining Deron blames everyone but himself. All I've heard from Jerry this season is guys don't compete.

Bottom line is, if I have to choose between Jerry or Deron that's a pretty easy choice.

Deron blaming everyone else is still a problem that wont be solved with Sloan leaving. It's pretty obvious this is true about DWill, both in his body language and his quotes.

Being a "competitor" and "a guy that just wants to win" is not the same as being a leader. IMO, Dwill is not the leader he is paid to be. More Brandon Roy than Steve Nash.

I dont think it went down like that...I think he was probably there trying to tell Sloan to calm down or something and not to get too emotional.

This does not sound like Deron's doing.
It sounds like KOC tried to meddle and Sloan stood firm, as I would expect him to do.
That Phil would go with him, shows their solidarity.

I'm surprised that the discord didn't leak out sooner.

I just hope it isn't Ty as the new coach. What we would need is a players coach, like JVG or RudyT

Completely disagree. Williams has never thrown a player under the bus.

I'm a huge Williams fan but teams that put players ahead of coaches never succeed.....
