He did an interview back in February and acted like he for sure wanted to come back, I believe one of his quotes was "Utah's got me". But in his exit interview after the season he sounded completely different, never said anything about wanting to come back, said he'll have to sit down with his family and make the best decision for them.

I don't think he'll be back, not because the Jazz don't want him or are unwilling to pay him, but because he doesn't want to come back.
For me the feeling is mutual. I really don’t want a guy back that absorbs so much of the payroll and yet is available to play so sparingly - and not when the chips are down. He’s a charmer for sure but his actions this year are telling. When asked about the hammy strain post Memphis series - soft pedals it and then sits out the meat of the series. Then runs around like gazelle in game 6 - 1st game back no pressure. Can you say Prima Donna? I know I can.

He looked to me like he was hurting in game 6.

He said that he was originally going to come back for game 3 but he suffered a setback with the injury. Not sure we were watching the same game 6 but he definitely didn't look right, didn't look like he was moving well.

Don't really want Mike back for reasons already listed, but it would be great to get at least a S&T agreement before he's gone so the jazz can recover a tiny bit of the massive haul they gave up to get him. Would love to get rid of Joe too if it brings back an athletic body. Joe makes all the money but the other Ingles is actually the athlete and hard worker.

Fair enough, I mean I really didn’t see much of the second half. Either way it’s frustrating. I’m venting, we had the momentum and maybe his presence takes us over the top. I do like the guy but kinda like Exum, he seems a bit fragile I guess.

Career low %FGA rate at the rim. Slight uptick in Field goal attempts doesn't mean he shifted his play. It doesn't even correlate, he is getting to the rim less frequently and picking his spots which almost always leads to better efficiency but he is not a threat at all.

Also the lowest FT rate which is mostly tied to getting to the rim and highest average shot distance of his career.

I don’t know the particulars of his rim game but a relevant note is that the the Pelicans may be the worst spaced team on the planet.
